Taste Testing Tuesdays (20)

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays!
Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

On the menu this week ... one book that I have almost completed in conjuction with the AWESOME ADVENTURE feature from HarperCollins (check the left sidebar for more information on that), and another that will be featured with an upcoming book tour!
Let's have a taste, shall we?

However, she had read many books in which plain girls who start out plain blossom into great beauties, and almost as many in which girls who stay plain are loved all the more for their warm hearts and good common sense.  Penelope was confident that one fate or the other would be hers eventually, and so she tried not to give the matter too much thought. -- pg 141, The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place:  Book 1:  The Mysterious Howling by Maryrose Wood

Arson abandoned his turbulent thoughts and left them on autopilot, not caring if they crash-landed or wound up somewhere in oblivion.  He swallowed hard, succumbing to the fevers of a lonely heart, unquenchable and always longing. -- pg 150, Arson by Estevan Vega

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Huh, it's funny...the quotes that came out of each book this week sound like they apply more to the opposite book....interesting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Until next time....happy reading!
I've been wondering about Arson...I like the cover, but the verdict is still out for me. Maybe I will see how your review goes!
I think I would definitely read the first one. The second one scares me a little ... but if it was highly recommended I would give it a try.
Thanks for the tastes! :)
I'm excited to read the first one; it's one its way to me. Love the cover. Need to read the author's YA books.
The second book, ARSON, has a cover that definitely catches your eye. I have no idea what to expect from that teaser.
I've been dying to read both of these. The world needs more reading time! :-)
Juju: *off to check out your teaser*
the1stdaughter: Same here. Although the story is starting to pick up...and make more sense. LOL.
fredamans: My favorite too.
DorothyDreyer: It was great fun (just finished) but the sequel is something I will have to watch for to find out...well to find out more. =0) The second one I'm still working into...we shall see.
Bri Meets Books: Yes, I'd be curious to see what other books the author has written (as well as your review of the title!). Regarding the second...can't help you out there, still just getting into it.
Shannon O'Donnell: AGREED! ^_^
Oh, very nice teasers! I love the cover on the first book - it's so cute! The cover of Arson is really creepy... but I guess it fits the book.
Here's my Teaser Tuesday!
Emidy: It does actually...it symbolizes the one character that...okay so I can't say more, but trust me, it does. =0)
Tribute Books: Thanks for sharing your teaser!
April: Great to hear! Was hard to get into at first for me, but now the pages are flying!
