I Has A Hotdog by Professor Happy Cat, REVIEW + CONTEST!

Hello, everyone!
Happy Friday and welcome back to another day, another post here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers!
It's been an interesting month thus far in both reading (lots of variety) and life (still getting the last of this cold bug to go away), with more just on the horizon.  What's on the way?  Reviews, blog tours, contests, a little event (well, not so little now) called BLOGMANIA (04/30/10)....you'll have to stick around to see, but I promise you won't be disappointed.  Moving on...

Today we go where no one has gone before.....*pause for dramatic effect*....okay, just kidding, we're not breaking new ground, but the author of today's selection is certainly unexpected when considering the actual book content (no worries, you'll see what I mean) and it is one dog lovers round the world should definitely make a point of reading.  Without further adieu...the book of choice for the day is....

by
Professor Happy Cat

(See what I mean about the author?)
Yes, my friends....we've not only gone to the dogs today, but to the humor side as well!  Professor Happy Cat, author of the infamous I Can Haz Cheezburger book, takes a walk on the "ruff" side of the tracks and exploits...I mean, explores the world of canines.  Pairing humorously cute photos with his own patented style of accented captioning (just try reading it without the accent...not nearly as funny nor does it make sense....with the accent, much better!), you get to take a look inside the minds of the pooches and see what they are REALLY thinking.  See Fido leaping through the air, a look of pure glee on his face....or is it?  Put your little pooch in a sweater when it's cold outside and marvel at how cute and warm they look?  (Guilty!) The funny little smile they have may not be all cheery thankful thoughts...and ironically enough, my dog actually has the one sweater they show in the book.  (No lie....good thing they out grew it or I may have to second guess the smile they give me when they're dressed in it...)

As of this post, this book is scheduled to hit shelves 04/20/10.  Recommended reading (well, it's not really reading per se, more of a picture books for adults with humor to boot) for dog lovers round the world....just try not to laugh or smile as you flip through this book.  Betcha can't do it with a straight face....  The book is entirely fun but wait....what to do for cute, funny puppy love when you've finished the book?  No worries!  For further laughs and oh they're so cute moments, you can find more of their puppy antics (cats too at the website link) at their site, on Facebook, and on Twitter

So, how can this book and post get any better than merely a review and spotlight on a fun book?  Umm...can we say CONTEST?  Yep, I went there.  Thanks to the fantastic folks at Hachette Book Group (from whom via Bookblogs.NING I received a copy for review...THANK YOU), I am able to present you with the chance to win 1 of 3 copies of this fun title for your own reading fun!  3 copies equals 3 winners so let's get on with the details, shall we?

Unable to enter myself, I just wanted to wish good luck to those who do enter.
My brain acting in its own sweet way I had to re-red the title as at first I thought it read 'I WAS a hotdog' - now that would have been a totally different book altogether.

Petty Witter: LOL. You're right...that would have been a totally different book. Regarding the contest...check out my upcoming BLOGMANIA post on 04/30/10...it's open internationally. ^_^
