Earth WEEK Extravaganza: Intro's and FUN

Hi there readers!
Happy Sunday to you.

Today being a day of rest and relaxation for most, I thought I might let you in on what will be happening over the course of the week.  Friday is the day we celebrate on a national scale Earth Day but thanks to Peachtree Publishers, we're going to celebrate this day of conservation and awareness ALL WEEK LONG.

That's right!
Consider it EARTH WEEK here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers and I have the immense pleasure of bringing you a fabulous post each day from an author or illustrator of some truly Earth centered titles that explore various habitats, life cycles and so much more straight from the...

'Fins, Wings, and Other Things!'

....blog tour with Peachtree Publishers!

But that's not all.
What's a celebration without a little contest fun to go along with it all...am I right?  With each new post, you will have a chance to gain another entry to win the special book prize pack at week's end.  The contest will run from today (04/17/11) through Friday (04/22/11) at midnight CST and is open to those with a US address (PO Boxes are okay as well this time around).  What titles are in the package?  Oh, wouldn't you like to know...and know you will, just not quite yet.  With the roll out of each new post, we will pick up another title that makes its way into the mix so by week's end we will amass a whopping FIVE titles that will go to ONE lucky winner.

Still curious which ones will be making an appearance?
Okay, okay....I'll reveal ONE right now.
But which one?
*ponders*
Oh, I know!

There is one title among the bunch that does not happen to have a scheduled feature here on the site, and well wouldn't that make the perfect reveal now?  Yep...I believe so.  Book #1 in the Earth Week Prize Pack is...

About Habitats:  Grasslands
by Cathryn Sill
illustrated by John Sill
A nature series for the very young, About Habitats… highlights the defining characteristics of various habitats, including its plant and animal life. About Habitats: Grasslands offers young readers a first glimpse into grassland habitats—from North America’s tall grass prairies to African savannas.

Pretty cool, right?
Okay, so here's how you enter.

First...
...answer this question...

Author Cathryn Sill has written many books in her "About" series.  Taking a look at those that have been published to date, which one looks most interesting to you and why?

Leave your answer in the comments below.

Second...
...fill out THIS FORM.

That's it!
If you completed both steps ONE AND TWO above, you now have ONE entry towards that prize pack of bookish wonder at week's end.

So join us and all the fun there is to be had as we celebrate Earth Day...no WEEK...with Peachtree Publishers and learn a thing or two about the planet we call home.

Until next time...GOOD LUCK...and happy reading.

They all look like fun, but the fish and penguin ones would be my favorite, I think.

Happy Earth Week! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

What a fabulous idea! You are so incredibly creative, I love it!

I know for a fact my kiddos love the About Fish book, but that may be because they're on a "fish" kick recently. Gotta love it! :o)
