Taste Testing Tuesdays (81)

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers!  Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

On the menu this week...a YA fantasy book written by a first time author who happens to be....16 years old.  (Yep...I officially feel like an under-achiever...)  Ready for a taste?  Here we go....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"This is my power.  using my mind, I can send messages to anyone I desire.  The message can appear on any surface:  paper, furniture, and even your very skin."
-- pg 74, Journey Into the Realm:  The Elf Girl by Markelle Grabo
First off, yeah...I don't think I'd want messages appearing on my skin....kinda creepy.  BUT...being able to send messages to others, any time, anywhere without an electronic device....COUNT ME IN!  It's like Twitter only amped up with the magics and everything.  So far the story is rather interesting, as Ramsey makes her way to the....well, you'll see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR.*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Until next time....happy reading!
This one looks scrumptious! =) Kind of reminds me of the magic of the elves in Chris Paolini's works. The cover is very pretty as well.
"I was a queen, and you took away my crown; a wife, and you killed my husband; a mother, and you deprived me of my children. My blood alone remains: take it, but do not make me suffer long. --Marie Antoinette" -page 367 of Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran. It's a wonderful book! I recently posted the review on my blog.
Interesting concept! I'm assuming the messages aren't permanent. My teasers are from The Twisted Thread by Charlotte Bacon and The Emperor of Nihon-ja by John Flanagan. Happy reading!
Seriously, this is the kind of superpower that I am dying to have! At least we don't have to worry about charging the batteries or what-nots right??
This is the first time I heard of this book/author. Will definitely have to include it into my list!
Shy: LOL...absolutely. Love introducing my fellow readers to new bookish finds. ^_^
Petty Witter: It is....a few flaws, but the story is standing strong so far.
