Taste Testing Tuesdays

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers!  Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

On the menu this week...a book from a somewhat local author that takes us under the sea, but if you're looking for an adventurous little red head with a Triton wielding father correcting her every move, think again! Ready for a taste of the newish YA release?  Here we go....

Of Poseidon

I am...embarrassed?  No.  Embarrassed is when you spill ketchup on your crotch and it leaves a red stain in a suspicious area.
Mortified?  No.  Mortified is when you experiment with tanning lotion and forget to put some on your feet, so it looks like you're wearing socks with your flip-flops and sundress.
Bewildered?  Yep.  That's it. Bewildered that after I screamed at him -- oh yes, now I remember I screamed at him -- he picked up my limp body, carried me all the way to the office, and stayed with me until help arrived.

Ha ha ha ha HA!
Sorry, but this passage had me in stitches.  I love the way her "bewilderment" is described....too funny...even though the situation she's in (however enviable) is not so much.  I'm tossing a few feelings about this book back and forth and quite curious to see just which one wins out in the end.  Shouldn't be too much longer now.  Stay tuned....

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Until next time....happy reading!

I'd be pretty embarassed too if I had Ketchup in that area. LOL
Great teaser! Of Poseidon is on top of my wishlist. Can't wait to read your thoughts on it. :D

SO something I would think. I'm always trying to find the right words in my head before I speak them aloud.

Oh I want! I have liked the sounds of this one, and now after reading a piece of the fun and seriousness in the writing, I want it more! :D Thank you!

Almost as bad as the tell-tale signs left by your hands that are darker than anywhere else.

A great teaser I agree, thanks for sharing.
