Happy Father's Day...now, READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Hi guys!
Welcome back to the place that aims to please the reader in you from age I-just-learned-what-a-book-is to what-a-second-I-remember-those....Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today is FATHER'S DAY...in case you were unaware; consider this your reminder to run out and pick up something (or send an eGift card) STAT if you haven't already for the father figure in your life.  We began speaking of father figures last week in a great interview with author Toni Buzzeo; if you missed out, be sure to click on over for a heart warming moment or two AND get entered to win a SIGNED copy of her latest release, Just Like My Papa!  We continue the reminiscing today with a fiction novel based on the life of a great mind known the world over.  Whether a student of philosophy or of the school of life, this little gem may work its magic on you and given the title/focus, I felt today an appropriate day to shine a little light on this recent release.  Without further adieu, today's book spotlight shines for....

About the book...
An eagle’s old age is better than the youth of a sparrow. —Greek proverb
My doctor tells me that, at last, I am dying. The time has come for me to write, or, rather, dictate these letters to you. I pray that I might remain lucid for long enough to finish the task and ask that you forgive any lapses in my memory or reason. I propose not so much to counsel you as to furnish you with an account of my life and thought; not the impersonal and incomplete fabrication that you or anyone might piece together from my books, but the real account–in so far as there could ever be such a thing. For all the man and the god that I have found in you, I do not, and cannot, expect your tender years to tease out my every accent and every nuance, and I am writing as much to account myself to you as to account myself to myself.

Sounds like a great idea for a Father's Day gift, thanks for recommending it.

Oh and on a slightly different note, Niece #2 is leaning over my shoulder, commenting on and I quote 'the well lush author'.
