Welcome October...every SPOOKY one!

Hi guys!
Welcome back to a BOO-tiful edition of Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers...the place where we host guests with the most, even when the subject is SPOOK-tacular!

That's right!  It's October!  Time for pumpkins.  Time for tricks and treats. Time for Fall fun ranging from falling leaves and family time to haunted houses and ghastly ghosts.  All this talk of Halloween-type escapades had me thinking of a childhood round we use to sing when I was little. Perhaps you've heard it...if so, sing along; if not,  welcome to the cool kids club (^-^).

Have you seen the ghost of John?
Long white bones and the rest all gone.
Ooh. Ooh-oooh-ooh-ooh-ooooh...
Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin on?

Well, I do suppose it would be now don't you? But before you get too creeped out remember not all ghoats are exactly scary.  (Just don't tell THEM that.)  I mean from movies lore, there's Casper, whose name itself includes "Friendly Ghost", then you have...umm, well you have...huh.  Well, I'll be a ghostly apparition.  I'm failing miserably at drawing up any other friendly spectors, but perhaps today's featured title will float you in the right direction. Get ready, get set...BOO! Today's book of choice is....

100 GHOSTS:
A GALLERY OF HARMLESS HAUNTS
by
Doogie Horner

READERS BEWARE.
The book you are about to read (or rather read ABOUT) contains 100 of the most spine tingling apparitions you ever did see, will hope to see, or maybe just imagine to see but trust me...it IS for the faint of heart.

No, that's not a typo. Some are familiar spectors, some are ingenious creations, while still some are out there in the land of "wait-what-was-that-exactly", but in the end, it's a comprehensive pictorial guide for you and yours to explore this Halloween season. It's great for all ages and will leave you with a smile on your face. ..unlike most ghostly encounters, if movie history proves anything (*-*). My favorites? Hard decision...but I'm going with Harry Potter Ghost and Scottish. ..just to name a few. What will yours be? If you check it out, do tell!

In conclusion, a great pick for all ages that is sure to brighten any day (proven with a coworker this very day that was having a bad go of it). Have fun with it...randomly choose a page and see who you discover,  or read it straight through and get acquainted with the lot. You can't go wrong with this one.  Review copy received courtesy of Eric (http://twitter.com/ericsmithrocks) at Quirk Books (http://twitter.com/QuirkBooks).  (THANKS!) For more information on this title as well as their growing catalog of curious titles be sure to stop by their official site (www.QuirkBooks.com) and seek them out on the various social media channels.  This book is available now, so be on the look out for it on a bookstore shelf near you!

Until next time. ...happy reading!
