The Book Series that Continues to Dazzle and Delight...

Hi guys!
Welcome back to the site that believes strongly in the notion that everyone should partake in the joys of Children’s Fiction regardless of whether or not they fit into the target audience age range…Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

That’s right!  If you’re a frequent visitor to my site, you already know my penchant for children’s books but if you’re one of the naysayers that disagrees with my proposal….I think even YOU will have your head turned by this series.  It’s home genre may be in the children’s section, but it reads on a teen or higher level.  It’s a great way to build your vocabulary as well as to while away an afternoon lost in childhood flights of fancy.  Ahhh…gotta love it.  So, if you’re ready for adventure and not afraid to meet winds of various colors as well as intentions, grab your shoes (BOTH if you please) and hang on to your hats, it’s today’s book of choice…

Oh September.  As much as you wanted to go back to Fairyland, your readers were waiting to greet you once again…or at least THIS reader was.  ^_^

I have loved this series from the moment we first met.  True story!  That first second we gazed out at an average day and were at once whisked away by the Green Wind, fed fairy food, danced with our shadows, fell in love with a Marid (well, you’ll know it soon enough), and made friends with a Wyverary that calls a Library, Mom.  We knew no strangers as everyone we met was simply a friend to be made and our own friendship was as thick as thieves, remaining so to this very day.

Though this adventure was a tad more peculiar in that it didn’t seem to have much of any goal it was headed towards, even the initial wandering was magical.  We see September growing up and trying on her new found adult-ness about her shoulders.  *sigh*  I suppose it DOES happen to everyone eventually however she’s much to young a girl, much to spirited to let it weigh her down…right?  Right…as we AND she learn down the line, but initially, it hinders her so.

The wind met this story round is Blue, not sad mind you (HA!  Anything but!) but blue nonetheless.  She’s a crafty one, her and her puffin crew.  If you’re down for a rowdy time, she’s your wind but trust ME when I say, DON’T trust her!  Why?  Umm…well, her disposition is semi caustic at times, when first encountered she is spiriting away the neighbors antique-ish car (without permission of course), and she’s liable to drop you and your acquaintance anytime, any place, any where.  Got it?  If that’s not enough for you, well…sorry; you’ll discover more upon your own read of the adventure.  Anywho…

Aside from my love of the characters both old (Hi Ell!  Hi Saturday!) and new (Nice to meet you Mr. Whelk!), the story itself, once it gets rolling, is nothing to shirk at…as in there’s A LOT going on!  Let’s see, we’ve got a young girl setting forth to find her path in life, a curious delivery she is tasked with in exchange for quick transport to Fairyland Below (though that’s not where she ends up mind you), a yeti on the rampage, a history hidden chock full of secrets, friends that are discovering things about themselves as well, and a Moon about to be torn apart for all the transgressions she’s seen.  What?  It’s Fairyland!  Didn’t you know the Moon is alive?  Yep…but if old Ciderskin’s (the yeti) antics keep up, it may be a crescent permanently…then again, don’t believe EVERYTHING you read.  Some things are not what they are at first perceived to be.

Suffice it to say, you’re in for a wallop of an adventure filled with danger, first love, family, and more...not to mention a cover and illustrations that will let your imagination soar!  I could go on for days but I shan’t despite your insistence.  No, no.  Please stop, it’s embarrassing!  (^_^)  You’ll just have to go out and experience it for yourself.  Oh, and if you haven’t read the first two adventures already…what’s wrong with you!?!  Just kidding!  Seriously though, you should because each one is as enchanting as the last.  For a sneak peek, click on over to my reviews of both titles (1 and 2).

Until next time…happy reading!

Wow, this sounds magical, I want to find a young reader to read it aloud too. I love reading to little ones, ans seeing there faces glow as they get swept up in the magic of the story. Wonderful review!
