BLOG TOUR: Until We Touch by Susan Mallery

Hello, hello!
Welcome one and all to the Monday edition of Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers....the place to be for great reading, any day, any time.

Today, we're playing host ot a Meryl L. Moss Media Relations, Inc blog tour for the latest from author Susan Mallery.  That's right!  I spent the weekend in Fool's Gold and...enjoyed the heck out of it!  As many of you know, this particular series has been growing for quite a while now, and I've only just begun tackling the giant read through one book at a time to catch up with everyone, but as new titles are added, they appear in groups of three.  The first in this particular set was When We Met (reviewed RIGHT HERE on the site!), followed by Before We Kiss (which I just read and will be reviewing soon!), and culminating with the 15th addition which is....today's title.  Ready to join the gang at Brew-Ha-Ha and discuss this great read?  Let's!  Today's blog tour guest and book of choice is...

About the book...
After a family tragedy, former football hero Jack McGarry keeps the world at arm’s length – a challenge now that his PR firm has moved to neighborly Fool’s Gold. Larissa Owens knows where she stands – Jack’s her boss, not her boyfriend. No matter what her heart says. But then Larissa's big secret is revealed...by her mother! When Jack discovers Larissa’s feelings, her touch suddenly becomes tantalizing, and he’s not sure he wants to resist. But if he gives in to desire, heartache is sure to follow. Friendship or true love-- will Jack go for the ultimate play?

Oh my goodness.
Where do I even begin!
This is one series I can honestly say I will read every book that has come out and will come out....hands down, no questions asked, nor hesitation...and recommend.  Every one that I've read so far, was a fabulous read.  The stories interconnect with one another but not to the extent that you have to read them (or review them) in order.  The stories focus on one potential couple and branch out from there, reacquainting you with those you've met previously and guiding you towards those that are next on the docket.  There are characters to fall in love with, situations to get lost in, feelings to be ensnared by and so much more...it's hard to pinpoint what exactly drew you or limit the list of why you stayed.

This time around, we focus on Jack and Larissa.  Jack is one of the three "boys" of Score (the PR firm) newly arrived in Fool's Gold and Larissa is his personal assistant slash "team" masseuse.  As the author so simply and eloquently puts it, she's the heart and he's the means to provide it.  It all begins with a revelation of feelings but not from one to the other....a third party who should not have been involved was and got the wheels all mucked up.  Or did she?  Perhaps she just greased the works enough for a happy ending to arrive unexpectedly?  Hmmm....perhaps.  In the mean time though, there's enough awkward moments to get your share of laughs and swoons in as they try to ignore what may or may not be there while working with her latest projects.  Far be it from me to reveal all....

Story wise, I loved the concept yet again.  Simple girl with ambition in a career she loves thrown into a situation that causes her to reevaluate her life and love strategies that ends in notable moments for better or worse.  Character wise, I admit I was a bit concerned when reading about Jack as the leading man because let's face it, initially he's pretty hard to get to know, and a tad bit of a player.  Just a tad.  Once we got beyond the superficial and down to the heart of the matter, you can see he's human after all....albeit a strong, handsome fellow with money to spare and a heart that while damaged, is not beyond repair.  I do have to make one side note though...I am most curious about our Mayor.  How on Earth DOES she know everything she does?  Where does she get her info, the CIA?  ~curious~

Overall, another fabulous read that I am over the moon to bring to light for all of you....a feeling that was elevated by the fact that the author tweeted me over the weekend regarding my #fridayreads selections.  ^_^  Recommended for adult readers due to some content; it's blush worthy and a bit steamy at times, but nothing so drastic as to have you grabbing blindfolds or anything.  Take it as you will and enjoy a fabulous summer (or anytime) read perfect for a lazy afternoon.
