So, get ready to add a little fantasy to your reading world as we welcome the first tour via I Am A Reader, Not a Writer, with our ebook of choice...

About the book....
April Appleton wakes up to quite the sight: a herd of elephants marching down her street! She realizes that her powers of witchcraft have done it again. With her friends, Grace and Eve, April must figure out how the elephants got to her town in the first place and then how to get them back home. But with elephants playing in the neighbor’s pool, sitting on cars and eating everyone’s trees, how will they do it? Early readers will delight in the misadventures of this reluctant witch and her plucky friends as they try to figure out how to use April’s powers to do good in the world.

This fabulous trio of friends and back and yes...April did in fact do it again.  It's not that she ever means to, after all...she's a novice witch barely even in training...it's just that apparently, she's really gifted and until she gains some modicum of control, things just sort of happen.  Take the "dancing" chandelier in her room (watch out for flying crystals!), or how about her brother-turned-dog-turned-brother who's helping her with their parents until she solves her current dilemma...which brings us to the march of elephants currently going down her suburban street.  All she wanted to do was make sure they were in a safe place...whoopsy.  It's good she considers her neighborhood safe, but, um, yeah...I don't think her neighbors are gonna quite agree, or Fido who just lost his dog house to a pachyderm fanny.  It's gonna take know-how, determination, and guts to solve this larger-than-life magical problem...or perhaps just three really great friends.

I love how the author built upon the budding friendship introduced in book one.  It was great to see the girls so in sync, even when they don't all remember it later on.  No, I won't clarify that statement for you; you'll just have to read it.  (^-^)  Aimed at a Middle Grade reader audience, it's a quick dose of fun to interject into your reading weekend, no matter how far removed from the target you might be.  The story takes off from the very first page leaving you no time to rest on your laurels, and doesn't let go until we've reached a conclusion most worthy.  Infused with magic from both craft and friendship, it also reminds us that having others we can count on through thick and thin is a wondrous thing...especially when dealing with the modern day equivalent of dino dung.  *holds nose*
