RRR presents...A Warriner to Tempt Her by Virginia Heath - REVIEW + GIVEAWAY!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're joining up with Rachel's Random Resources for a Regency Romance blog tour sure to set your her loving heart on fire.  It's book three in the Wild Warriners series from new-to-me author Virginia Heath, but read perfectly fine as a standalone...considering my own experience, purely...though, again considering my experience, I'm not certain why you'd want to stop there.  In fact, I have this book and the one prior winging their way to me now (in print) if that tells you anything.  ^-^  Anyway, for those longing to steep themselves in a new Historical Fiction find, or even for those simply looking for a great read (genre fan or not), I give you today's blog tour guest and book of choice...

About the book...
A shy innocent wary of all men…

After a shocking incident, shy Lady Isabella Beaumont is perfectly happy to stay in the background and let her sister get all the attention from handsome suitors! However, working with Dr. Joseph Warriner to help the sick and needy pushes her closer to a man than she’s ever been before. Is this man worth trusting with her deepest of desires…?

Once upon a time, I didn't really read Romance titles.  It just wasn't my thing...until it was...and now I find myself branching out into other areas of the varied genre because really and truly, there are so many areas to explore!  While still a Contemporary fan at heart, now and then other titles speak to me, and this one happened to be one of them (of course it doesn't hurt that the cover was easy on the eyes either...).  So, I took off on a Historical Romance adventure expecting, well...not quite knowing what I'd find, but you know what?  I LOVED IT.

It was brilliant! It was lovely.  It was...yeah, all the good adjectives you could possibly think of! Dr. Warriner was such a breath of fresh air for his time (or any for that matter).  He really and truly was led by his mind and as wonderful as it was, it left his heart playing catch up, and his feelings backpedaling to find the right balance at the right time.  While not the suave-est of the Warriner brothers, he was the ultimate catch...not that Bella would notice.  I'd say "poor Bella" because honestly, what she went through was horrible (both "the incident" and the aftermath) but in truth, she wasn't "poor" at all...simply a little lost, a lot affected by what transpired (no one could blame her), betrayed by those that should have stood closed mouth (I SO wanted to punch that person right in the face), and ultimately vindicated.  That's right, vindicated...and honestly, while she had some help in that department, if it wasn't for her own strength and merit, it still wouldn't have happened.

In the end, it was a remarkable story to get lost in with characters to root for, causes to stand behind, ignorance to uproot, and people to show what's for. Most got what they deserved in the end, in one way or another, and the town as well as townspeople were better for it.  Dr. Warriner and Bella truly shine on all on their own, but together...the possibilities are endless...that is if they end up together.  Hey, I can't spoil it entirely for you!  ^-^

About the author...

When Virginia Heath was a little girl it took her ages to fall asleep, so she made up stories in her head to help pass the time while she was staring at the ceiling. As she got older, the stories became more complicated, sometimes taking weeks to get to the happy ending. Then one day, she decided to embrace the insomnia and start writing them down. Fortunately, the lovely people at Harlequin took pity on her and decided to publish her romances, but it still takes her forever to fall asleep.

HI guys and gals!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

We're celebrating another day of bookish fun with Storybook Sunday! For those not up to speed on the post, I read a lot of great storybooks and thought, why not give them their own day in the sun. Hence, Storybook Sunday! Feel free to join the fun and create a post on your own site with the same name. I'd love to see any linked up in the comments! Anywho...back to the matter at hand.

Today, Storybook Sunday is celebrating the power of pink!  That's right. We're joining millions of women around the world as they come together this weekend to commemorate the 2017 Women's March...and do it all over again.  What IS the Women's March?  Good question.  The best explanation I've seen is this...

We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.

If you've had the pleasure of joining one in person, do tell!  If not, never fear...there are many ways to participate in your own little way, including reading and sharing the first book in our pink duo today.  So, without further ado, I give you today's storybooks of choice...

While a lovely commemoration of the Women's March that took place round the world January 21, 2017, it's also a great reminder of just how loud our forces can be when used as one. It's a visual representation of not simply a pink hat traveling here, there, and everywhere, being used for a variety of purposes and with so much strength in its fibers to withstand anything and everything, but of the power of women and why equal rights in all aspects of life is not simply a desire...but a right.

Priscilla is a wonderful girl who simply has had too much of a good thing...the color pink! She sets out to find another color, ANY COLOR in her rosy hued world. When a potential find is made, she discovers there's more to this single colored land than meets the eye...but with a little eye-opening suggestion from Priscilla herself, perhaps the beauty of the color can be found anew.

This was another unexpected find at my library's second chance bookstore and boy am I ever glad I found it! It reminded me very much of a pink-hued Dr. Seuss story in both writing and illustrations. Our leading little lady is charming, as is her endeavor to brighten her world, plus the ingenuity she displays when push comes to shove was ace. A great story for fans of the color pink, or simply those looking for a tale that's...out of this world...and a great reminder that it takes MANY COLORS to make the world the truly beautiful place it is.
