I have to say, I LOVE IT! Not just the story, but I love hearing a different POV. I really like all the female narrated books I've read, but this experience has been very eye opening to me. Primarily because I think I've had a pretty good idea of what guys think about (and in the book they do), but there is still more to it and I've loved reading it.
I also didn't know that Beautiful Creatures was narrated by a male, I'm definitely going to have to check that one out!
Great review! I may have to look this one up next time I run to the library.The1stdaughterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06701073212264414302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042548341447954983.post-71651641452381995842010-01-13T15:43:34.222-06:002010-01-13T15:43:34.222-06:00Lauren: Huh...I didn't realize the book was m...Lauren: Huh...I didn't realize the book was male narrated (must have missed that part), but that's an interesting point. Having read your post, I think maybe this is because the narrative was still quite emotionally based. Maybe that's what I prefer.Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483030255023873716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042548341447954983.post-55473613093822724022010-01-13T09:46:36.115-06:002010-01-13T09:46:36.115-06:00Juju: Nice points raised there! (Didn't notice that, but a fellow book store type person brought it up...and if you think about it, it rings true.) I too prefer the female narrator for the very same reasons....but the other perspective was definitely interesting to sample. =0)Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01067420839553243250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042548341447954983.post-85390158480543807772010-01-13T08:19:47.954-06:002010-01-13T08:19:47.954-06:00I prefer a female voice ('cause I can relate b...I prefer a female voice ('cause I can relate better) but it is nice to change it up from time to time.Tales of Whimsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10938494589922620170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042548341447954983.post-45471638409400608712010-01-13T08:19:18.808-06:002010-01-13T08:19:18.808-06:00I am currently reading a male narrator and its so ...I am currently reading a male narrator and its so refreshing different from what I normally read (female narrators).

They are distinctively different in style, voice, and perspective.Tales of Whimsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10938494589922620170noreply@blogger.com
