I was pleased to see your comments and only dismayed to think children might find the story discouraging. Besides, I can't resist a good conversation about books. I like your blog. Thanks for reading the book. I'll check back to see what other books you talk about. It's always interesting to hear what readers think. You can be sure authors are everywhere. (Maniacal laugh here.)

Merry Christmas to you and yours. Yes, that cover is something special, as is the story....just had more shades of Dickens than I'd imagined.

Stephanie/Comment Deleted: Thanks to Bloggers "email you when you get a comment" setting, I was able to see your post before you chose to delete it (Why in fact did you delete it??). I meant no harm in the review, they are simply my feelings on what I read....the rest of the story aspects of courage, family, and the like that you mentioned are there, it is true, but the mismatch of what my head thought the book would contain versus what it did stood out to me as worth mentioning. Thank you for stopping by....it's not often author's do, but may I suggest next time, leave your comment visible for others to see...I certainly don't mind (unless it's truly scathing then I might mind a little). Happy holidays and thank you for such an interesting addition to my Christmas reading list! =0)Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01067420839553243250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042548341447954983.post-26685454212267788262009-12-22T08:36:17.062-06:002009-12-22T08:36:17.062-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Stephanie Greenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08670253881397820194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042548341447954983.post-67906942109608316502009-12-22T05:38:10.440-06:002009-12-22T05:38:10.440-06:00Tail/Tale - two words I hate having to explain to ...Tail/Tale - two words I hate having to explain to children/anyone who doesn't speak English as their first language.

A great sounding book, I agree the cover is beautiful.
