Taste Testing Tuesdays (19)

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays!
Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

On the menu this week ... just one lonely book (well, at least until I uncover it's read-in-progress companion, which will be done later tonight), but it's a thrilling ride (so far) indeed...it's also going to be making an appearance next week as it makes a swing by for a stop on its blog tour, so stay tuned!  For those with weak stomachs or perhaps eating while reading this, may I suggest perhaps waiting till you finish your current mouthful to glance further?
Alrighty, let's have a taste...

"Butchers?" said Maggie.  "You mean like grocery store butchers?  You think a butcher could have done this?"  "Why not?  They're good at cutting meat, and who says a butcher can't be a freak?" -- pg 92, The Cutting by James Hayman

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Until next time....happy reading!

  2. Emidy: Thus far, not too much on the graphic violence...but could cause some people to be glancing over their shoulders....

  3. "What do you expect us to do? Why should we care? I know I don't," Damien said and looked Eirena directly in the eye.

"I have a map of the ship - one that is not easily available to the campers. It shows some places I think we should investigate before the expedition," Eirena said.
