Why hello there!
Welcome to post number two for the day here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.  Though it is the second post, I think you'll be quite happy about it.  Why?  Oh, well....it kinda sorta has to do with....

...the chance to win 1 of 3 copies of the paperback version of Dewey by Vicki Myron!

To find out more about this title, just click on the link above or check it out over at Facebook.

Notice something about this particular edition?  Dewey is all decked out in his holiday finest (look at the cute little bow and ornament accessories...awww) so you know what that means....the perfect holiday gift for your own library or to give to another (ya know, if you're feeling generous and want to share the love....if not, I'm perfectly okay with the first option...hehe).

So, what do YOU have to do?
Not much....in fact very little.

--------------------------------------

First....fill out the FORM.
(Just click the word above, it'll link right to it.)

For a few bonus points (or ya know just because you want to, plus it'll make it more interesting), leave a comment on this post with your favorite holiday memory.  ANY holiday will suffice since the world is all about crossing them nowadays anyway.  (Seriously!  There were 'season's greetings' signs right next to the pumpkins and skeletons in our local store...)

------------------------------------------------

  1. One of my favorite memories from Christmas is when my sister and I stayed up all night long so we could tell when our parents went to put out the presents. By the time we could open them, we were ready to sleep!

  4. Hmmm...when I was really young my family used to go out into the woods to pick our own Christmas tree to chop down. There would be lots of snow and it would be freezing cold, but we'd keep going until we found a good one. Then there was always hot chocolate and donuts awaiting us afterwards! Good times :)

  6. One of my favorite memories is taking my son to our town's santa house. It is a whole house that is dedicated to santa, and only open a couple of weeks. They even have reindeer for the kids to see.

  7. One December I lost my wedding ring. Yes, I know. I was pregnant and it didn't fit my ring finger so I was wearing it on another finger but it didn't exactly fit and I lost in somewhere in the grocery store.

Well my husband got me a replacement for Christmas and my daughter also got me one at their Santa's workshop at school. Goldplated with 5 "diamonds". She was 7 years old. It was the best present I ever got.

After the holidays all the moms who volunteered at the workshop told me how she told them about me losing my ring and they had to help her find a "wedding ring" for her mom. They all cried afterward!

  10. Every year my husband and I take my grandmother to see a christmas themed play or something like The Nutcracker. We make a special dinner beforehand and then we get all dressed up for our big, night out. It's such a big deal for her and we enjoy it as well!

  11. I would have to say that one of my favourite holiday memories was Christmas 2004. My daughter was 4 years old, at that time. She had been so excited that she couldn't sleep. Once she was finally asleep (or at least I thought she was!), "Santa" went and put her presents under the tree. A couple of minutes after I finished, I was in bed, and my daughter came running into my room wanting to know if I had heard Santa, because he was just there. She said she was trying to sleep but couldn't, and Santa must have thought she was sleeping, cuz he was there. She heard him! She even heard the bells (yeah, I tripped over the cat's toy ball, with a bell in it.)!! So, she just pretended she was sleeping so that he would give her presents! But now she wants to see him, so of course we have to go check. I opened up the front door, and we stood on the porch, and an airplane flew by. Of course, because of the flashing red light, my daughter assumed it was Rudolph! She was so happy. She had heard Santa, and watched him fly back to the North Pole!! The smile on her face was priceless.

There's still plenty of time to get your entries in...so keep spreading the word...and good luck to all!

  13. My favorite holiday memories always involve Christmas. I ove Christmas! The lights, decorations, and everyone just seems to be a lot better mood at Christmastime! I love putting up our tree and hanging up our stockings! One of my recent favorite memories/traditions is taking my kids to see "christmas lights". They love it and to be quite honest, so do my husband and I!:)

Thanks for offering up this giveaway!:)
