Taste Testing Tuesdays

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

On the menu this week...a tasty sample from a book I've only just begun (well, as of yesterday) from an author whose well known to many and yet, this will be my first venture into her writing.  Curious about the who and what?  Prepare to be satisfied!  Here comes today's teaser...

by

These people would enjoy one another's company, sit down to a wonderful dinner seasoned with laughter and affection, and afterward, contented and high on their pleasure, step out looking surprised that there was a storm of any sort.  It wouldn't matter anyway.  Their happiness would keep them warm and safe.

I was randomly selecting pages for a passage to convey more of the actual story but this actually works because the majority of it deals with emotions and emotional fallout; the consequences of actions taken and those that should have been. Looking forward to the read as I've heard this author's work is memorable.  Anyone else read her books before?  Thoughts?

So...what book are you lost in this week?
Oh come on...just a little tease?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Until next time...happy reading!
  1. Intriguing stuff.
    Busy reading a memoir about a mother with a son with severe autism, so far I'm really enjoying A Boy Beyond Reach by Cheri Florance.
