HI there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Now, I know there's a lot of doom and gloom out there right now (darn you Irma! *shakes fist*) but we're gonna try to blow the lid off that for a few minutes at least and have a little fun.  Are you ready?  Great!  So...today marks a first for me.  That's right...A FIRST!  Even in the book bloggy world after seven plus years, there are firsts to be had and today's is quite a doozy.

So what exactly IS the first that I'm taunting you with?  Well, it's certainly not the fact that the book came to my attention via #Booksparks because we all know about THEM.  If not, a quick summary...a handful of the cool people in the bookish universe keeping tabs on the reading scene and letting us (that's right, you and me) in on what's hot, hotter, and hottest!  There, now that you're acquainted....let's knock the fact that it's a title out via HQN Books off the list of possibilities becuase HELLO, I've read quite a few at this point.  Well, I suppose the only thing left is that it's a....

#PopUpBlogTour!

That's right!
A #PopUpBlogTour which means they put out the word about a great MUST READ title, you respond as quick as you can to snag a spot on the roster, read it in a hurry, and post in a flash...EVERYWHERE you can!  Sorta like a flash mob only digital and with books.  Sound fun?  Well, it has been thus far, and if at least a handful of YOU enjoy the book I'm highlighting today, it'll be THAT much better.  So, ready or not, here comes today's #PopUpBlogTour book of choice...

About the book...
Single dad Hogan Guthrie is getting his life back on track, and working as the "barbecue master" at a local diner is just a temporary detour. He and restaurant owner Violet Shaw constantly butt heads…until one night they end up mingling other parts instead. Hogan thought he had the recipe for happiness all figured out. But loyal, carefree Violet is daring him to trust his impulses…and see just how sweet small-town living—and loving—can be.

Nathan Hawley traded his SWAT team credentials for a sheriff's badge, but a gorgeous new neighbor is shaking up his orderly life. Nathan has a hunch there's more to Brooklin Sweet than meets the eye—but given her caution about getting involved, he has his work cut out for him. Still, there's something about the elusive beauty Nathan can't walk away from—and helping her come to terms with her past might pave the way to the future they both secretly long for.

I see smexy people...
...a whole LOT of smexy people and we're not just talking looks!
Okay, first we ARE talking looks.  The characters aren't classic cookie cutter, though there does seem to be a plethora of good looking guys with hearts of gold running around this little town (*searches map again for location*).  Violet isn't some damsel in distress just looking for a man to take charge.  Hogan isn't some neanderthal alpha just wanting a figuratively club the best looking woman over the head and take her to his cave.  She is a spitfire, which has nothing to do with the fact she owns a diner, with class, motivation, and a heart the size of Texas....she'll also kick your butt if you mess with anything she cares for.  (Go Violet!)  He's got brains, brawn, a conscience (despite his seed sowing stint), a softer side with a core of steel, and good looks to spare...who will also kick more than your butt if you mess with those he loves.  To see these two skirt around their attraction for so long was maddening and yet made the eventual, well...potential ending, exactly what the title promised...WORTH THE WAIT.

Fe fi fo fum...
Something's on fire and it's not Hogan's ribs!
This story has all the smexy you can handle and then some.  Yes readers, ADULTS ONLY, but it's not all between the sheets (or on the floor, or against the wall...*ahem*).  There's a lot and I repeat A LOT of fire stoking flirtation going on here both between our main leads, Hogan and Violet, our secondary leads, Nathan and Brooklin, and the supporting cast of family (Colt!), friends, and attempts from frenemies.  Seriously, try reading this book in a public place without giggling, or blushing...especially when interupted during certain scenes....*ahem*  Yeah, let's just say that being a lunch reader at work does have a drawback or two at times.  (LOL!)

In the end, it was a fabulous read that'll leave you moony eyed with a racing pulse, but a smile filled with more than just desire.  Despite all the heart racing moments, there are also those that show the true kindness of man towards man (or woman), how one unwise decision does not forfeit a good soul, and that when the cards are down, your true family are ones who stand by your side by choice not just blood.
