Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week...several books that are almost all reaching the “completed” stage….or at least they will be over the next day or two. Are you ready for an extra large sample today?
Here we go!

This is an eBook I’m currently reading through this month. As most of you know, this format is not my favorite…nothing against those of you that prefer them, for me they seem to take longer and I miss the familiarity that comes from an actual print copy. Nevertheless, there are exceptions to every “rule” and I certainly wouldn’t want to miss a great read JUST because of the format. This one so far…REALLY good…can’t wait to see how it all turns out.
Book 3 in the Possessions series and releasing the 17th of this month, I can honestly say that now that I’m “back in the saddle” so to speak….definitely enjoying this one and oh-so-curious what the final outcome will be! As I anxiously read this, you watch for the upcoming contest involving this series…deal?
Let’s keep this one short. Otis is building something monumentally stup---pendious that will be revealed with time. Yes, I’m still reading it. No, it will not appear on next week’s teaser come heck or high water. Yes, it’s quite different from other books I’ve read. End of story…for now.
Sad to see this one going (as we only have about 20 pages or so left) but can’t wait to share it with all of you. This is one of those books that will turn a non-memoir reading into one just for the shear fun of watching life look at life.
Here we go!

Karen’s heart was beating so hard she feared it might fly away. She frantically reminded herself what her mother had said about the six bodies. This was probably a Glamour decorating the most evil person she had ever seen. But her heart would not listen. Those gray eyes, rimmed with dark lashes like lace, were so familiar she felt her resolve breaking.

Pushing himself up, he got out of the chair. I pulled back a little, and he held out his hands to his sides, almost as if he were showing me that he carried no concealed weapons. But he did: his mind. He was brilliant.

It was the next afternoon, Sunday afternoon, before Otis could get free of the rest of them – free of chores and homework and anything else his mother could find for him to do – and escape to his shed. Once inside he locked the door, propped open the windows, switched on the fan, and sat down on his stool with his stolen clock in front of him on the table. He would have to work as fast as he could, now that he’d broken the law and could be arrested at any minute.

If you are obsessively reading a Victorian author that no one seems to read much anymore, can’t name a single American Idol winner, and couldn’t care less where Angelina Jolie’s latest baby came from, well, you’re not much good on small talk. Luckily for me, Sarah helps me out and makes sure that I don’t come across as looking completely out of the loop.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR.*

Until next time....happy reading!
