Taste Testing Tuesdays

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers!  Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

On the menu this week...the latest bookish endeavor from an author you may remember seeing in a week long feature here on the site not so long ago (Furnace ring a bell?)...and guess what?  He's done it again.  A so-far (still reading) brilliant start to a new YA series you'll want to keep your eyes open for....readers and readettes, get ready for a taste!

Up ahead he could see the source of the smoke he'd spotted earlier, a car that had come off the road, punched through the barrier and down the bank to the side.  It sat in a field, surrounded by people, hundreds of them, swarming all over it the same way they had swarmed over him back at school.  They didn't seem to care about the black clouds that billowed from the engine, they were just tearing and scratching and kicking and even biting at the metal like starving rats trying to get at the meat inside a bin.

Sounds good, right?
It's got its uber creepy moments like this and then those that are more subtle and yet just as or even MORE creepy.  There's something going on in Fursville...something that won't be contained nor ignored.  The danger is real, the consequences dire...and let's not even talk about the morality of it all because we're just now uncovering a small hint of what or whom we are dealing with.  Yes...needless to say that I can't wait to see what happens in the last 200 pages (yep, almost done!).  Stay tuned for my review....

This book was released a few short weeks ago across the pond (UK) and thus far, I haven't seen the US release date...something to look forward to.  Review copy received courtesy of Faber and Faber Limited.  (THANKS!)

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
