Taste Testing Tuesdays

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

On the menu this week...a festive read that has me in stitches and seriously wanting to adopt a valley girl sound to my speech patterns.  It's loads of fun just in time for the impending Ho-Ho-holiday season from an author that really gets into her work.  Ready for a taste?  Here it comes....

A memoir by

Chiseled blocks of ice formed frozen tables and seats.  Smoothly powdered ice columns rose from the floor. Curtains of glistening icicles dangled across space in intricate criss-cross patterns.

As for the bigger kettle of popcorn, Daddy promised to draw up a set of very specific grounds rules for dating.  Not that it would matter for some time.  After the way he scared off the boy who'd almost kissed me, I figured Rudy would sooner ask a strawberry moose to the Snow Ball than me.
My life sucked.
-- pg 126

You see what I mean?  The first gives us a gorgeous ice land to behold and the second shows us the teenager side of things...LOL.  ^_^  It's a hoot and a half, or perhaps better phrased as a jingle bell and an open sleigh , and oh-what-fun-it-is-to READ!  Enjoying it immensely and I think if you're in the mood for a non-traditional blast of Christmas-type fun scattered with magic and elves and critters and candy canes....this is definitely one for you to check out as well.  Review will be coming soon but in the mean time, be sure to stop by the official site, like their Facebook page, or follow along on Twitter!  ALSO...be sure to check out her latest blog tour starting Cyber Monday.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

*Grab your current read

*Open to a random page

*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Until next time....happy reading!
