Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week...a Young Adult book that well, reads somewhat like it sounds in story line but it seems that there is more to our lead character than meets the eye. Ready for a taste? 3...2..1...

Few moments happen in your life when you experience something so jarring to your system that, just in order to comprehend what you're seeing, your brain, as some sort of primal coping mechanism, turns everything you're seeing into slow motion.-- pg 67
D threw her head back and laughed. "So you're telling me that you aren't allowed to take a bus, but your mom wouldn't care that you're hitching a ride with your shady neighbor?"-- pg 172
Yep. It's a book about a teen girl that just so happens to meet her music idol...hence the title...however there is more to Josie than simply phrased. She eats, sleeps and breathes music which ultimately might help more than one dream come true. We shall see as I'm about half way through right now and things just took a strange turn for her family...well, half of it anyway. This book is available now from Running Press, a member of the Perseus Books Group.

I like the saucy tone in the second one.
