RRR presents... SCENES FROM A COUNTRY BOOKSHOP by Victoria Connelly - REVIEW!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're settling in for the final installment (well, thus far at least) of The Book Lovers series by Victoria Connelly.  We've had the pleasure of watching several Nightingales fall in love, and this time around...it's time for the unconquerable to fall (in the best way possible!)...but just as his heart seemed the hardest to reach, his story is going to take some unexpected turns before happily ever after is found.  So, if you're ready, grab your rose colored glasses and a steaming cup of tea, as we settle in for today's ebook of choice and blog tour guest via Rachel's Random Resources...

The Book Lovers series, Book 4
by
Victoria Connelly

About the book...
Josh Nightingale has always been married to his books. Happy to run his bookshop in the small town of Castle Clare, he’s never really had time for romance and truly believes that he’s never going to fall in love. But, when April Channing opens a new shop opposite his, everything changes.

Sweet and attentive one moment, abrupt and aloof the next, Josh really can’t understand April at all. What exactly is going on? Josh is pretty sure that the answer can’t be found in a book.

Book Love Love Books Love Reading Love Story Heart Shape Pages ...

I'm sorry, but last stop or not I've simply GOT to comment one more time on these BEAUTIFUL COVERS!  I mean, seriously...they are gorgeous and really make the whole set something to look at.  *happy sigh*  Anywho...

Today's tale takes us back to Castle Clare, nary a month after the last book's events...which, if you were wondering, makes the stories blend seamlessly together, and yet still totally workable as standalone titles.  Josh has always been there in the background with a kind word, a hearty laugh, and a bookshop fully stocked...except with a certain risqué type title that was all the rage that he stoutly refused to have on his store shelves.  (*giggle*)  Despite not having much of a love life of which to speak, he was happy, content, and well versed in entertaining himself with his literary entourage...at least until now.  April Channing walks through his door and right into his heart...but what to do about it all?  Now that, my friends, is an interesting question.

It was such a joy watching things unfold for Josh, and yet such a struggle at times too!  I couldn't help but wonder what surprise was in store for him next between unexpected "months" (that'll make sense when you read it), her less than traditional family life, and her penchant for living her brightest, most color filled life possible.  Then, the BIG ONE drops and it seemed like our hearts were to be left broken.  I got where she was coming from, and yet...not.  Ultimately, the things April was concerned with were not in her hands.  You can try to control everything you want, but it's not always your choice to make...and once again, the heart wants what the heart wants.

A wonderful conclusion (?) to this heart warming series that was filled with life, laughter, suspense, and most of all...LOVE.  A definite recommendation for Contemporary Romance and Women's Fiction fans.  If you've not scheduled your "trip" to Castle Clare, it's high time you do!
