RRR presents... THE VISCOUNT'S UNCONVENTIONAL LADY by Virginia Heath - REVIEW + GIVEAWAY!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, I'm lucky enough to feature one of my FAVORITE Historical Fiction authors latest releases, on tour now with Rachel's Random Resources!  It's another FABULOUS story featuring a world wary lady who believes she has seen love for all its worth...and found it severely wanting...and a Viscount that would heartily agree, if only to himself.  Oh how they are about to BOTH learn that not only is beauty in the eye of the beholder, but truth can only be truly measured by those with all the facts, and an open heart.  Ready or not, fair readers, here comes today's ebook of choice and blog tour guest...

About the book...

The notorious Viscount...
And the most gossiped-about lady…

After years as a diplomat in the Napoleonic wars, Lord Eastwood is reluctant to return to London society. His scandalous divorce has made him infamous, not to mention cantankerous! To halt the rumour mill, he should marry a quiet noblewoman – instead it’s bold, vibrant artist, Faith Brookes, who’s caught his attention. They are the least suitable match, so why is he like a moth to a flame…?

He may be a moth to a flame, but she is just as drawn in by 'Lord Beastly'...and the use of the word drawn is very apropos considering her father and herself are there to complete an artistic endeavor commissioned by said Beastly's mother.  Don't worry, there aren't any ACTUAL beasts, only what the ton perceives someone to be due to their actions based on little to no fact.  Then again, when did gossip need to be substantiated to spread like wildfire...a fact BOTH of our leads have the unfortunate past to know all too well.  Thing is...souls that are searching for their other half often find them unexpectedly and in the most unlikely of places, especially when they recognize a bit of themselves in them.  So what are two heart's hurt by love to do?  What indeed...

As usual, I, myself, was drawn in to the story from the start!  I love how this author builds her world like setting a stage for a grand production, and dresses it with the best cast of characters one would ever hope to witness perform...and perform they certainly do!  From heart crushing pasts to soul soaring futures and everything in between, she always delivers heroines one can be proud of, leading  men that show their mettle in time, and circumstances that while challenging, never quite seem to outdo the potential pairing.  *sigh*  Yes, they are quite good, nay great, and this one was certainly no different!

Faith was more than just a pretty face or daughter of a painter.  She, herself, was talented with a pencil or paintbrush, could hold her own in conversation, and would willingly give a piece of her mind to anyone needing it.  She did not entertain fools, nor did she have the patience, beyond what polite society demanded, to cater to them.  She was not all fire though; she also had conscience and heart.  When she ascertained that she was wrong in her initial impressions, she was able to swallow her pride and apologize for the misstep, which can be hard for the purest of us.  Lord Eastwood, on the other hand, was a man of two natures; the persona detailed in the papers, and the real man behind the name.  To the ton, he was 'Lord Beastly' and well deserving of the name.  Behind closed doors or if given half the chance, there is a great certainty that you would be second-guessing this was indeed the same man of gossip mill fame.  I shan't continue, lest I spoil the reveals, but suffice it to say, not all or everyone is as it/they appear.

In the end, it was another brilliant work of Historical Fiction that fans would be ill-advised to miss and a high recommendation from myself to you!

About the author...

When Virginia Heath was a little girl it took her ages to fall asleep, so she made up stories in her head to help pass the time while she was staring at the ceiling. As she got older, the stories became more complicated, sometimes taking weeks to get to the happy ending. Then one day, she decided to embrace the insomnia and start writing them down. Despite that, it still takes her forever to fall asleep.
