RRR presents... TAYLOR PARTIALLY MATURED by Grayson Avery - REVIEW!

HI guys!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we welcome Rachel's Random Resources for a stop along their current tour featuring the latest addition to the Sweet Water Circle series from author Grayson Avery. It's the third in the growing series, and it's a combination Romantic Comedy and plain old Fiction with a heavy dose of hilarity to balance things out. Okay, okay...so it doesn't so much balance anything, as much as it tips the scales in a very gasp worthy, choke inducing direction, but it certainly keeps life and this story interesting! Want to get between the pages? Great because here we go...

Taylor Partially Matured
Sweet Water Circle series, Book 3
by
Grayson Avery

About the book...
Twenty-seven year old Taylor Quinn rocks the three I's. She's immature, impulsive, and totally inappropriate. Now that she's been admitted to the Sweet Water Circle, a group of long-time friends now in their 30s and 40s who love to push each other to be their best selves, Taylor is tasked with growing up. God knows they have no hope of curing her inappropriate behavior. After calling for a Sweet Water Circle intervention, fellow Circle member and Taylor's boss, Shelly, puts Taylor on the clock: figure out what she wants to do with her life or join the unemployment line. Who knew getting paid to do nothing wasn't a long-term career option? Taylor certainly didn't, so of course, she rebels. Why think about the future when she's having so much fun in the present?

The pressure on Taylor intensifies when the a love match set for Shelly falls for Taylor instead. This love match is none other than Benjamin Bach (Billionaire Ben), a contemporary of the Sweet Water Circle who has since made it big in Silicon Valley. Should Taylor take Ben on as her sugar daddy or pursue her own career? Or will the Sweet Water Circle's top-heavy nemesis, Sasha, beat her to it?

Follow Taylor on a journey of self discovery and misadventure (and total inappropriateness) in love and life. If you've read Project Kaitlyn or Jenn Reinvented you know that full maturity for Taylor is out of the question, but perhaps partial maturation is possible? Or maybe not. How can Taylor grow up and find her passion and still be Taylor? You'll laugh out loud as she tries.

With hysterical antics, witty and humorous dialogue, and a strong character arc, you'll love the follow-up to Project Kaitlyn and Jenn Reinvented. Taylor Partially Matured is the third book in the hilarious Sweet Water Circle series, exploring the relationships, life adventures, and personal growth of a small circle of friends, who you're gonna want to hang out with, which is good, because their stories are ready to be told in the rest of the Sweet Water Circle series!

So...this book.
How to describe it exactly...

It features a dubiously un-adult female lead who has no desire to change her life, her ways, or make a name for herself.  The difference she wants to see in the world...is her, anywhere, anytime, doing anything, or anyone for that matter.  Her humor is crass, her innuendos are spot on and always turned on, and she cares not what others think because she knows her opinion is what really matters.  *ahem*  So, again, how to describe this book...

I could not identify with Taylor in the least, but I'm taking that as a GOOD thing in this case, because her life and times are way raunchier, way crasser, way more about the carnal aspects of life.  Her antics, her Live it up!  Drink it down! attitude was so far out of my league, and the things she does on a daily basis were just...out there.  I mean, she was someone to remember, but for me, all the wrong reasons...which she might actually be happy about.  As for the male member of this party, I couldn't get how Ben "the Billionaire" could fall for someone such a complete opposite to himself, unless he was living out a high school dream of getting the girl that everyone wanted, and him finally being in the position (but don't ask which one) to have her.  He had the world at his fingertips, and she annoyed him to no end...until she didn't.  Was it the challenge?  Was it her beauty?  Was it basic chemistry that can't really be explained?  Inquiring minds most certainly want to know!

What I did get out of it was the pleasure of seeing Taylor...partially mature...in some small microscopic way...and for her, that's like man taking his first steps on the moon.  I'm not gonna say she sees the error of her ways because there's no error, she lives her life full on, all the time, and totally on purpose, but she does live to learn that there are some things that might shine brighter, be more important, or hold more weight than a slide down an ice luge onto someone's face (don't ask....I won't tell, and you'll simply have to read it to know anything else).  She does get the chance to discover something that she might actually like to do and be really good at!  She even gets her moment of full focus from a member of the opposite sex that she might be interested in beyond a few night's stands.

All in all, of the series, I can't say it was my favorite, but I will say if you're a fan of Romantic Comedy and you can handle high crass level humor as well as a no holds barred female lead...this may just be a book you should take a chance on!
