RRR presents... THE BEEKEEPER AT ELDERFLOWER GROVE by Jaimie Admans - REVIEW!

Hi guys!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're showing the bookish love for two different titles in two very different posts that both happen to be touring with Rachel's Random Resources. First up, a book that shares a piece of its title with a book I covered only yesterday, an ironic occurrence if ever there was, and yet the stories are ultimately very different. Ready or not, fair readers, here comes today's blog tour guest and ebook of choice...

The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove
by
Jaimie Admans

About the book...
Her new start is about to bee-gin!

Having moved into her mum’s spare room after a disastrous break-up, Kayleigh Harwood is desperate for a fresh start. When she sees an opening for a new beekeeper at the old manor house at Elderflower Grove she jumps at the chance – despite not knowing a thing about bees…

The abandoned house holds a mystery of its own – the previous owner vanished years ago – and locals have been inventing stories about the manor ever since. Unable to resist the urge to look around, Kayleigh is shocked to find drop-dead-gorgeous gardener Carey living inside!

Carey explains that the house and surrounding land is at risk of being demolished, endangering the bees, and he has been staying there to protect it.

Convinced the secret of the house holds the key to saving Elderflower Grove’s bees, Kayleigh is prepared to do everything she can to help. But is she ready to find her own happy-ever-after too…?

Okay, can we just stop short for a second and look at the beautiful cover?  Yeah, go ahead.  Scroll back up.  Isn't it lovely?  It honestly captures the feeling of the story remarkably well, giving us the sense of the magic, romance, and nature awaiting us inside.  Now, on to the story...

Ever have a book that you just loved, and yet you couldn't quite put your finger on exactly why it was that you loved it so much?  Was it the capability of the written words to transport you from your own time and place into the pages as you follow Kayleigh from the land of personal disaster to a honeycomb of opportunity?  Was it the awkward yet funny meet cute where a stranger almost gets run through, yet manages to turn into a friend by the name of Carey with the potential for more if they can overcome some personal and emotional obstacles?  Was it the second storyline of a love lost or gone wrong for the mysterious former tenant of the manor house at Elderflower Grove who has been missing and presumed deceased for almost 7 years?  Was it the hidden agenda of a particular person hiding behind a social media bee filter that comes to light, only to not be quite as menacing as at first they seemed?  Or perhaps, it was all of it, plus the added magic of Elderflower Grove itself that warmed my heart, tweaked my imagination, and had me turning pages well into the night...

All I can say is that the story really worked its magic on me.  From the lonely hearts to the mystery to the unexpected humor to the manor house that just seems to know what a good caretaker may need, there's a little something for everyone to revel in as this story unfolds.  I highly recommend this title for fans of Women's Fiction, Contemporary Fiction, and Contemporary Romance.  If readers let this book work its magic, you'll not only get a crash course in beekeeping and honey making, but a reminder that magic DOES exist, if only we let ourselves BEE-lieve...

About the author...

Jaimie is a 36-year-old English-sounding Welsh girl with an awkward-to-spell name. She lives in South Wales and enjoys writing, gardening, watching horror movies, and drinking tea, although she’s seriously considering marrying her coffee machine. She loves autumn and winter, and singing songs from musicals despite the fact she’s got the voice of a dying hyena. She hates spiders, hot weather, and cheese & onion crisps. She spends far too much time on Twitter and owns too many pairs of boots. She will never have time to read all the books she wants to read.

She is the author of several romantic comedies for HarperCollins - The Chateau of Happily Ever Afters, The Little Wedding Island, It's a Wonderful Night, The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea, Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm, The Little Bookshop of Love Stories, The Wishing Tree Beside the Shore, The Little Christmas Shop on Nutcracker Lane, The Post Box at the North Pole, and The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove.
