I can't agree more...this WOULD make a great present for new parents because it's beautiful, timeless, transcends gender, race, and religion, and shares such beautiful sentiments about the parents' journey to finally meet their little one. It's a book that can also turn into a story time read once baby is here, and into their childhood...a great reminder of how much they are loved.
With every turn of the page, we get to meet another animal family with a wee one among them, highlighting the joy that their new arrival has brought to their lives. The sun shines brighter, the birds sing sweeter, their smiles are wider, and their hearts are full to burst! Each beautifully illustrated spread invites you to look closer as you see what the penguin parents are dreaming up for their little one, or the beautiful savanna at night while mother elephant watches over her babe. It's a gorgeous representation of that limitless love that new parents are filled with, and their desires to give their child the best of everything, smiles for miles, and joy for the ages.
Whether you've a new arrival in your own household, know someone who does or is about to, this is definitely a book that should be on your list. It'll brighten any library shelf, and help light the heart fires for a lifetime of love.
