RRR presents... HAPPY ENDINGS AT MERMAIDS POINT by Sarah Bennett - REVIEW!

Hi guys!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're back with another Rachel's Random Resources tour starring the latest (and final!) book in the Mermaids Point series from author Sarah Bennett. It's nostalgic because of it bringing an end to the trilogy, but the beauty of books is the ability to visit them all again...any time we want. So, with that in mind, let's endeavor to celebrate the final turn of the page with today's blog tour guest and ebook of choice...

About the book...
Music sensation Aurora Storm finally has her career back on track, but then she’s caught up in a media storm. Desperate to distract from the story, she enlists the one man she trusts to pretend to be her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, in the small seaside village of Mermaids Point, Nick Morgan never expected to see Aurora again. When she calls out of the blue needing his help, he agrees at once. It feels like she’s back in his life for a reason, and he’s determined to make the most of it.

Aurora joins Nick and the rest of his family for their festive celebrations and, as the snow falls, Aurora finds herself caught up in the romance of Christmas. But having tasted worldwide fame, can she ever be content with village life?

Two weeks is all Nick has to prove to Aurora that there’s a happy ending for them both in Mermaids Point.

Okay, okay. Full disclosure. The beginning of the story had me second guessing myself. When we first meet the Morgans, they are quite a bunch, with many stories to share, many life events going on, and everyone trying to be together to celebrate it, while sorting through their own issues in their head. Case in point, Nick. With all the hubbub going on, it was losing me, so if you're an easily turned DNF type of reader, I beg you to push through that part to get to the good stuff, because seriously, there is LOTS of good stuff.

Aurora was an interesting character. I loved seeing how she mentally split from the public persona to who she was at heart when the limelight was off. That's not to say she wasn't true to herself in either case, but she could turn on the extra wattage smile, the extra layer of aloofness needed to battle through the publicity. I loved that she showed the business as it is and as it could be. She held her ground, had a good moral support team in her agents, and was just plain likeable...even if she did break out boy Nick's heart, once upon a time. Nick was memorable on his on terms. Though wafting through life untethered at the moment, he still led with his heart, and would do anything for those he loved...even those he loved once upon a time. When he comes to her rescue after a less-than-simple ask, old flames have a way of reigniting, and sometimes it's all about the timing. Do these two have what it takes to weather the past AND the present for a Christmas better than all the rest? You'll have to read it to find out, but jolly old St. Nick has been known to pull some miracles out of that red sack of his before.

A great read for fans of the series, and a wonderful way to step into the upcoming holiday reading season...
