In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.
Through her guidelines, your post does not actually have to be named the same and thus my post shall be..."In My Shopping Bag". (just fits with the "foodie" theme a bit better in my humble opinion)
Let's take a peek inside my shopping bag this week....

Review
Trauma Queen by Barbara Dee
(review copy courtesy of author)
This charming book simply looks show stopping at first glance, but the excerpt I read online at the author's website promises so much more. Can't wait to get the show started with this one. Mark your calendars as the release date is scheduled for April 19th!
The Wild Soccer Bunch: Diego the Tornado by Joachim Masannek
(review copy courtesy of The Wild Soccer Bunch team)
Book 2 in a rather lengthy series over seas (seriously, there are already 14 books in the series...with this one just making it stateside!), it's about a soccer team of children from many walks of life and the what they learn/how they grow from the experience. Sounds like a great series for boys and girls alike if you ask me. This book is scheduled for release in the US on April 15th with the third book to release in October. Set to review here in the coming months...stay tuned!

Received
A Touch of Frost, A Mythos Academy Novel by Jennifer Estep
(from local bookstore ARCs)
What can I say? This one recently arrived in my local bookstore and hadn't been scooped up yet so um, yeah...I totally scooped it up. (Yay me! Hey, it doesn't happen that often!) From what I read about this one, should be GOOD. Regarding a release date, I'm encountering conflicting information. The earliest would be July, the latest August from Kensington Publishing.

Tons of great looking books!! Loving the covers. Can't wait to hear your thoughts! Can I tell you a secret without you thinking I am the worst person ever?! *psst* come closer... I have NEVER seen a single episode of Glee! Are you disowning me as a bookish friend now?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteTribute Books: Yep, one of the things that caught my eye about this one. Yay GLEE! ^_^
ReplyDeleteApril: -leans in- *GASP* You've...you've never...seen...GLEE? _faints_ (No, I won't disown ya....but I prescribed a marathon watch STAT!)
Wow! You had quite a week! Look at all those books! And I love anything by Jonathan Alder, though most of his furnishings are too expensive, I'm pretty sure I could afford the sticky notes. hehe
ReplyDeleteYay for Trauma Queen! I love love loved it! I'm sure you will too. I'd venture to say I liked it even better than This Is Me From Now On. She's such a fantastic writer for that age group. :o)
the1stdaughter: Yeah, we had a whole little section in the store and a few things just happened to end up on a REALLY good sale...hence the stickies! ^_^ About to start Trauma Queen very soon....can't wait to see what's in store.
