Hi guys!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers...the place that makes the land of books your home and ours, every day of the week.
Today, we're shining the spotlight on a novel that's celebrating its paperback release January 8th, 2013 (as of the time this post was created at least). Now, though I've not read it yet myself, it IS on my TBR list for later this year...but that doesn't mean that YOU have to wait until then to check it out. In the spirit of sharing, I invite you to READ ALL ABOUT today's featured title...

Afraid of losing her parents at a young age, Naomi Feinstein prepares single-mindedly for a prestigious future as a doctor. But when her only friend and confidant abruptly departs from her life, Naomi isn't sure she will ever recover, even after a long-awaited acceptance letter to Wellesley arrives.Yet Naomi soon learns that college isn't the bastion of solidarity and security she had imagined. Amid hundreds of other young women, she is consumed by loneliness—until the day she sees a girl fall into the freezing waters of a lake. The event marks Naomi's introduction to Wellesley's oldest honor society, the mysterious Shakespeare Society, defined by secret rituals and filled with unconventional, passionate students. As Naomi immerses herself in this exciting and liberating world, her happiness is soon compromised by a scandal that brings devastating consequences. Naomi has always tried to save the ones she loves, but sometimes saving others is a matter of saving yourself.

Sounds good, right?
I certainly thought so.
I remember when this one came out in hardback...the cover was just unusual enough to catch my eye and the synopsis stayed with me well after my first read through...not to mention the fact that it's recommended for fans of 'Dead Poets Society' (LOVED that movie). Curious to find out more and definitely anticipating the upcoming read. If you're among the curious as well, feel free to click on over to the publisher's website to check things out in a bit more detail; there's even a peek inside the book as well as several options to pre order a copy or yourself...it's never TOO early in the year to add to your "must read" list.
Book release information received thanks to Liz at HarperCollins Publishers. (THANKS!) For more information on this title as well as their full catalog of past, present, and future titles, be sure to visit them online, like them on Facebook or follow along on Twitter.
Until next time...happy reading!
Sounds interesting! Think I'll wait for your review before adding it to my wishlist though, just to be on the safe side. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you shared this, I would have skipped right over this (not a fan of the cover) and oooh the synopsis drew me right in! I am so adding this to my list! thank you!
ReplyDeleteI didn't remember this until I saw the hardcover edition. I do remember when it came out but something about it didn't grab me, or else I completely ignored the synopsis and any reviews. I'll be curious to see what you think of it!
ReplyDeleteOoooh you definitely caught my attention with this one! Thanks for posting!
