Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
As promised, it's a two post sorta of day and this is post number two! This time around, we're featuring a Children's Fiction series making the blogosphere rounds with The Children's Book Review. The star of the show...The Bella Santini Chronicles by Angela Legh...and yes, chronicles, in this case, means definitely more than one adventure in which to partake. The tour features a multitude of bookish goodness, and for my stop, I thought I might dive into the first installment to get things started. Ready? Set? Fire up your fairy wings, or grab your walking shoes, as we set out sights on today's blog tour guest and ebook of choice...

About the book...
An ordinary teen girl stumbles into a fairy ceremony; is arrested and brought to the fairy kingdom, the Land of Everlasting Change, a land caught in the struggle between good and evil, where Queen Tatiana fights to keep the balance of power from tipping. Queen Tatiana spreads the message of the truth of fairyland, that fairies are emissaries of love. This gripping tale in a magical land crosses time and dimensions, bringing readers on a journey of self-discovery.
This book series seeks to plant seeds of wellness into every child’s hearts and minds who reads or has the books read to them. The seeds planted are unconditional love, inner peace, and emotional self-mastery.

This story worked as a great introduction to the world of Bella Santini and the fairies upon which she inadvertently stumbles. What young girl wants her summer plans spoiled by an unexpected camping trip...with her parents nonetheless? She had things she wanted to do, people she wanted to hang out with, and quite frankly, wasn't looking forward to spending her down time trotting around in nature. Okay, so the ride there was filled with natural beauty, and she kind of had a little fun by the campfire, but that doesn't excuse her parents from ruining her summer! Flash forward...a strange light...a secret ceremony...winged creatures that simply cannot be...and yet, they must because hello, they've captured you and unless you can prove otherwise, you're seen as a potential spy, and we all know that THAT sort of distinction never ends well.
The adventure continues long after her impromptu arrival, as does the depth of the mystery surrounding her appearance! It's definitely a case of things not appearing as they seem, nor who they are (*dun dun dunnn*) and yet through it all, Bella shines. It doesn't matter her bloodlines, nor her winged status, her heart is kind, her courage strong, and the lengths to which she will go to help a cause she believes in or a friend in need, know no end. I loved the magical spillover in the book, making lines between humanity and fairy-dom cross and blur. I was curious about the human world making contact with the fairy realm because, yeah, history says most humans don't do well with the unknown...and trying to make it our own doesn't always end well, something someone in the story learns all too well.
It's a fun start to what sounds like a promising series to entice young readers on a journey that will stoke the fires of their imagination, while imparting lessons of kindness, true friendship, and self worth.

About the author...
Angela Legh grew up in San Francisco, CA. She learned from her father that men were people to fear, and that anger is bad. She learned from her mother how to love unconditionally. For the first 54 years of her life, Angela was bullied, first by her father, then by the man she married. In both stages of her life, a fire caused the family to break up. The first fire, when she was five, resulted in the children being sent away for months while her parents sought housing. The second fire, a disastrous California wildfire, caused Angela to question her choices in life; leave her marriage, and seek to find herself. Angela is now an author and self-development mentor.
Her children’s book series, The Bella Santini Chronicles, has received high praise and is known for helping children learn how to manage their emotions.
