Love.
The course of it never did run smooth.
Add in an unknown destiny, a whole paranormal world you were oblivious to, and total life or death, end of the world type of vibes...and yeah, this one probably won't run smooth either, but you'll LOVE it every step of the way!
Our second tour on the blog today, features a NEW RELEASE from Entangled Amara, currently touring with TLC Book Tours. It's written by an author whose work I've read previously (okay, one other book, but I liked it!), but was in another subgenre, so this was a new adventure for me. Did I enjoy same said adventure? You bet your Romance reading little heart I did! Let's take a closer look...

About the book...
Three days ago, all Maisy Norgate had was a stack of bills, about a gazillion jobs, and her sunny-as-hell outlook. Now, thanks to an uncle she never knew about, she’s inherited an ornate skeleton key with absolutely no idea what it’s for–or why she has it. Which is exactly when a ridiculously handsome guy claiming to be an angel shows up at her door and all hell breaks loose…
Nephilim Rhys Boyce cannot believe that Maisy is the new Keeper of the Key. Why would anyone bequeath this warm, bubbly redhead the key to Hell? And to make matters worse, she’s given the key to the first person who asked for it. A demon. Yep, Maisy is determined to make his job–not to mention some seriously inconvenient temptation–as hard as possible.
First a half angel with a very human chip on his shoulder must find a way to convince Maisy that angels and demons do exist. Then Rhys will have to break the really bad news…that she might have accidentally ended the world.

Honestly, it seems that I pull this image out A LOT when I'm reading/reviewing titles published by Entangled. They just seem to have such a great variety of talented writers, giving us stories that we want to read, and, once discovered, don't want to be without! So yeah, I'm a fangirl for the publisher, but this story...OH THIS STORY! LOVE!
Imperfect may be in the title, but the story is anything but!
We definitely have the sunshine-and-grump trope going on, but with a paranormal twist. I love the backstory that's developed without getting too heavy handed. I love the unexpected, well ALL of the unexpected that waits Maisy in her journey to possibly, maybe, eventually, probably becoming the next Keeper. (Hey, I can't spoil the ending!) I love her style (polka dot pants...rainbow converse...we'd be besties and sharing closets!), her attitude (nothing is too insurmountable to attack with a smile and a happy heart), her innocence (not her fault, totally her Uncle's...even if I do forgive him eventually), and her GINORMOUS heart...that even extends it's loving gaze to her new half-man half-angel friends (well one is more than, in more than one way!). Even in the face of great evil (Volac...Lillith...shall I continue?), she stays true to herself, and if you think about it, perhaps that was her greatest strength all along!
I want to say SO MUCH MORE, but without rambling, I'm not sure how. We get a chance to see the mysteries of containment between Heaven and H*ll with all the snark you can muster, all the danger you can throw, and a whole lot of sparks! Let's just say the Nephilim aren't the only ones flying high! Speaking of these guys, all are memorable, but Rhys will definitely hold a special place in your heart...and on your Book Boyfriend list. *wink wink* There's much to smile at, chuckle with, and many situations you'll feel the need to read aloud to the person sitting next to you. Trust me, you will. It's a great read for Paranormal Romance fans that are diehard fans, as well as those that just like to dip a figurative toe into those misty waters now and again.
