Taste Testing Tuesdays

Good afternoon (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!

Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers!  Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. 

 

On the menu this week...one book that celebrated its book birthday last week, and a second from book two of a FUN-tastic series you should know about.

With a crackle from above as if the fabric of heaven itself were tearing in half, Lizzie's head snapped back, and a bolt of lightning shot from her mouth up into the clouds.  The flash was blinding.

So far, so good!  Seems to be a lot of action and from the sound of it, the characters have some SERIOUS powers to deal with.

 

Dear Reader, this may be a good time to think about your worst nightmare.  Is it one where you are being chased down a very steep hill by a million hungry white bunny rabbits and you are holding what appears to be the last carrot on earth?  Or am I the only one having that dream?

Oh seriously, I love this kid lit series!  It draws the reader in both with the story and the narrator actually addressing them, just like you see above.  Definitely receommend the first book (of which you can sample in my review) and I'm pretty sure this book will follow suit once completed.
