The Book Lovers series, Book 1
by
Victoria Connelly

About the book...
Author Callie Logan never expected to swap her life in London for one in rural Suffolk but, after the breakdown of her marriage, she decides that a fresh start is just what she needs. Finding Owl Cottage in the tiny village of Newton St Clare, Callie determines to give up on love and throw herself into her work. But fate seems to have other ideas and she soon has two very different men vying for her attention.

First there's Leo who likes to live on the wild side which usually means taking his dates foraging in the local woods for their supper. Then there's Sam Nightingale, owner of Nightingale’s bookshop. Sam, recovering from a divorce, has also vowed to embrace the single life. That is, until he meets Callie.

But is Callie willing to risk her heart again and, if she is, will she make the right choice?

So, not only is the cover BEAUTIFUL, but so is the story!

We have two (well, three technically) lonely hearts that have been badly bruised.  Both are looking for something else in their lives and love is nowhere on the Table of Contents...but sometimes you find the darndest things when you weren't even really looking for them.

If asked who my most recent book boyfriend was, I'd have to say Sam Nightingale.  I mean... *sigh*.  He's everything a bookish girl could want....looks, heart, love of family, kindness, humor, a dream career, and a true love of the written word.  How he ever got tangled up with the misguided ex of his, we'll never truly understand, but thank goodness he's rid of her...sort of.  Same goes for our gal Callie.  She is the sweetest, creative soul you'll ever meet with a true appreciation for the simple things in life and a desire to please.  She simply had a bad go of things and while feeling mortally wounded, you just knew things would somehow work out in the end.  Don't get me wrong, Leo was an interesting character as well, and while a potential love interest for our leading lady, I was still rooting for Sam.  How did things turn out?  Guess you'll have to find out for yourself...in the mean time, I'm getting ready to read the next book in the series and can't wait to see what life and potentially love have in store for Polly Nightingale!
