RRR presents... RETURN TO CORNWALL by Laura Briggs - GUEST POST + GIVEAWAY!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Can you believe it's already September?  I mean, it seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating the new year and remembering to put 2020 instead of 2019 on everything we wrote.  I suppose on a good note, it does take us a month closer to hopefully ending the debacle that has been this year, but even in all the bad times, there has been good reading, so let's carry on that celebration with today's post!  We're playing host to a stop along the current Rachel's Random Resources tour starring the latest release from author Laura Briggs.  You may remember her Cornwall series, and this one is taking you back again in a new way with some familiar faces.  Ladies and gents, today's title in the spotlight is...

Return to Cornwall

About the book...
The sequel novel to the best-selling UK series A WEDDING IN CORNWALL brings new surprises, romance, humor, and wedding bells, to readers who fell in love with the first stories.

Busy mother of two Julianne Rose has extended her talents beyond the manor house, opening her own event planning agency with the help of no-nonsense best friend Kitty. Balancing the chaos of daily life with their respective careers in their beloved Cornish village means Julianne can rarely snatch a romantic moment with handsome husband Matt. And just when it seems things couldn’t get any more chaotic, a sudden arrival at Cliffs House lands Julianne in the most unusual event of her career.

The reappearance of Percy or ‘the old earl’ after years of adventures abroad has temporarily shocked Lord William and Lady Amanda and set the entire village abuzz with gossip. Grizzled, spry, and delightfully eccentric, he’s returned with a most unusual set of traveling companions: an archaeological team digging in a spot whispered to have ties with the legendary Camelot. But it’s Percy’s ties with a certain charming woman among its team that has everyone taken by surprise, along with the news of their soon-to-be nuptials.

Tasked with planning the big day, Julianne and Kitty spring at this opportunity despite its rushed timeline and their own woes regarding the renovation of their future event space. But as the big day rolls closer for the earl and his bride-to-be – with cakes and wedding flowers competing with pottery shards and an ancient warrior chieftain’s grave for attention -- are there still surprising revelations to come?

Adding to the excitement is the return of former Cliffs House maid Gemma, whose posh new life as a novelist may not be all it seems … and Dinah visits in a flurry of festive baking for a holiday competition on everyone’s favorite baking show. Kitty’s life is in a tizz regarding both family and secrets … and Julianne’s happy marriage is challenged by an unwelcome sexy-and-persistent suitor among the summer visitors.

Filled with old friends, new adventures, and heartwarming Cornish charm, RETURN TO CORNWALL is an all-new, full-length novel—the first one ever to feature the characters from the original series!

~~~   GUEST POST   ~~~
Returning to Cornwall with a Romance Series Reboot
...by author Laura Briggs
A Wedding in Cornwall  A Christmas in Cornwall  A Cottage in Cornwall
Thanks so much to Gina for letting me tell her readers about my brand-new romance read, Return to Cornwall. It’s been a really special project for me, being a throwback to my long- running series A WEDDING IN CORNWALL. Featuring most of the same characters and the same cosy village as a setting, it brings exciting changes to the world of event planner Julianne that I’m hoping will delight both fans of the original series and those who are new to it.
A Manor in Cornwall  A Bake Off in Cornwall  A Castle in Cornwall
Deciding to reboot a favorite series after two years away wasn’t an obvious decision, exactly. After all, Julianne had already experienced a lot over the course of twelve novellas and a holiday short story. From celebrity weddings to charity balls and reality baking shows to name just a few of her adventures. Yet the possibility of someday returning to her world of planning larger-than- life events had been in the back of my mind almost since I penned the last page of A GARDEN IN CORNWALL. To my surprise—and excitement—fans continued to ask about further adventures and what started as a vague possibility gradually became inevitable. An idea began to take shape for a new stage in my heroine’s life, a more complex and somewhat richer story, with a hopefully fresh look at the characters readers have described as seeming almost like old friends.
A Romance in Cornwall  A Star in Cornwall  A Sewing Circle in Cornwall
After all, time brings changes to everyone’s life—even those of fictional characters. And with Return to Cornwall picking up five years after the last story in the series, Julianne is no exception. Readers will find her life in a rather different place than before. She’s no longer quite the same starry-eyed fish out water who to came to Cornwall in search of a new start. She’s a busy mom of two and business owner, with a bit more on her plate than she can balance at times. She has the same determined spark from earlier books but a much harder time getting it to light...and the same could be said about romantic sparks between her and husband Matthew, the dishy Poldark-esque gardener who shares her crazy, sometimes idyllic life. And that’s before she finds herself planning the most challenging event of her career (which is saying a lot in Julianne’s case!).
A Talent Show in Cornwall  An American in Cornwall  A Garden in Cornwall: The final heartwarming novella
I really do hope readers will finds themselves swept away by a fun mix of reality and escapism when they open the book’s pages. There’s Julianne’s everyday life, with its relatable ups and downs and moments of sheer chaos. There’s an elaborate wedding to plan for an eccentric earl, a Cornish archaeology site with ties to Arthurian lore, and a handsome history student with an eye for the happily married Julianne. There’s a big secret for Julianne’s friend and business partner Kitty to keep, and a bit of career crisis for the maid-turned-novelist Gemma who drops in for an unexpected visit. And, of course, there’s plenty of other fun surprises and familiar faces to keep readers turning the pages in Julianne’s newest adventure.
A Wedding in Cornwall  A Wedding in Cornwall
So if you read and loved the original series, I hope you’ll be sure to check out this new spin on a familiar world. And if you’ve never tried it but think it sounds right up your lane—well, now is the perfect time to join the fun! The full-length novel Return to Cornwall is available now from Amazon and other major eBook retailers, and the original 12 novellas from A WEDDING IN CORNWALL can be purchased as both individual titles or else two series book bundles for convenient binge reading.
