I don’t know about your neck of the woods, but the temps in my area have plummeted severely. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE IT! I’d much rather have to worry about how much I can put on to get warmer than the other end of the spectrum...if, you catch my drift. However, I’m in an area that people much prefer the warm weather as opposed to the cold, so today’s featured title, on tour with Rachel’s Random Resources, definitely will fit their fancy for a wintertime escape, and possibly yours as well. Ladies and gents, take a closer look at today’s ebook of choice...
A Secret Escape to Sunshine Island

About the book...
Welcome to the sunshine island - where the beaches are golden, the lifestyle is perfect and anything is possible.
Popstar Matteo Stanford is eager to escape to the sunshine island to catch up with his old friend Alex and secretly film his latest music video. But within moments of landing, the location for the shoot is leaked to the press, and his island escape and video might be over before they start.
Not to be defeated, Alex’s girlfriend Piper recruits her two best friends Casey and Tara, who run the Smoke and Mirrors stall at the The Cabbage Patch market. It doesn’t take Casey more than a moment to realise the perfect setting for Matteo’s video is Gorey castle, but securing the venue means Casey is soon planning a secret wedding, finding an actress and becoming a set designer!
It’s chaos and crazed fans, peppered with the sweetest moments she's ever experienced. But could a popstar really fall for island girl Casey Norman?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You’ve got a pop star looking for a break right before the holidays, but only enough to make his next hit video. True, he should be use to the crowds and such by now, but who doesn’t want some me time to process things? Am I right? Anywho, things were going swell, thanks to his close bud, Alex, and his uber resourceful girlfriend, Piper, but anything with celebrities tend to take on a life of their own, and once the paparazzi catch wind of the goings on, their perfect locale is no longer so perfect. That’s okay. Things happen for a reason, right? This time around, the reason may be closer to heart than home…
It was great meeting a celebrity that was so down to earth. Mateo actually cared about other people, putting them before his needs, despite being able to snap his fingers, and get whatever he needed. It wasn’t how he grew up, and it wasn’t how he wanted to live his life. Good for him! Definitely cranked up the appeal when it came to his chance meeting with Casey...a result of the sudden change in plans that went from being so wrong to oh so right! I appreciated Casey’s outlook on life. She was more than happy to lend a helping hand, lived heart first, and, yes, she had self doubt, but it made her more human. Watching these two come together was rewarding in itself, but seeing them navigate the publicity churned waters with the possibility of a relationship lead to an ending that will make your heart smile.
A fun read for Contemporary Romance fans to add a little warmth to your holiday reading!
