Really, there was a WHOLE LOT OF LOVE going on here!
The "meet cute" of him (August...aka Grumpy Gus Gus...HA!) arriving in town to help his grandmother (Agatha...such a doll!) with her flower shop and landing on the doorstep of Mo (Moira...aka Sunshine!) expecting a dude, and getting...someone is who SO not a dude, was PRICELESS! If his jaw dropped any harder, it'd have landed off the page...not to mention the sparks that were shooting between them that we readers were already dodging! Leave it to the meddling, but well intended actions of a loving grandmother to lead these two seemingly polar opposites together...with potentially explosive results!
The BIG SECRET (or should I say secrets?) gave us a plot point to count on being revealed to the other party at some instance along their six month timeline...and I'm not just talking about selling the shop talk, or retirement, or the adult activities that these two may or may not get up to! No, it's bigger than that...with much higher stakes involved when their walls start tumbling down. Be prepared for some shout outs, over reactions, and broken hearts...but feel secure in the fact that sometimes things have to be taken to their smallest parts before they can be rebuilt stronger than ever.
So, if you're in the mood for UBER WATT SPARKAGE, characters you won't want to let go, a few laughs, a dozen smiles, and an ending that feels just right...stop what you're doing to GRAB THIS BOOK!
