Time to celebrate the end of another week and get ready for the next one coming, but first a little R&R time to help you on your way.  TGIF but TGFW too! (that's 'thank goodness for weekends')

In looking over my posts, I noticed I was missing something...some how or another I missed out on the Book Blogger Hops for the entire month of September!  (officially anyway....I still hopped just didn't post)  In an effort to set this right and spread a little more bookish news, let's jump right into it, shall we?

How many blogs do you follow?

Um...now see that's a tough question.  Follow as in actual number in Google Reader....100+.  Follow as in actually read on a regular basis, it drops back below 100.  I try to make the rounds as frequently as I can but alas, sometimes my visiting ability is limited.  Now if I could only perfect that "make more time" formula, I'd be set!

There's a new YA book being released from Feiwel and Friends as of August 31st, perhaps you've heard of it....

That's right!

Less than two weeks before it's arrival and it's already getting a lot of BUZZ in the reading community...and a lot of views as well!  Love book trailers?  This one is suppose to be really great.  How about Q & A sessions with the author?  Catch a glimpse here!  Thanks to Ksenia over at Feiwel and Friends, I am more than happy to share with you some more exciting news about this book.  The author, Alexandra Adornetto, is embarking on a tour to promote this new title starting this September!  So far, dates have been confirmed for several different locations in the US and even one in Canada.  Here's a glimpse of a few places she'll be stopping at along the way...

Today is the Book Blogger Hop...yes that is true, BUT we are also going to take a moment to shine the light on a book networking site that is in danger of closing it's virtual doors!  The site is BookBlogs.NING.  Those that already use it know the power unlocked by posting on it's various boards.  You have the opportunity to communicate with book bloggers and publishing professionals, request ARCs of upcoming titles from well known and growing publishers, sign up to host a stop along a book blog tour for a favorite author or new title you simply couldn't miss.....and that's only the tippy top of the proverbial iceberg.  The most common activity besides those already listed?  Posting links and information regarding your new posts, reviews, and contests!  To sum it all up...if you are a bookish person and haven't used the site yet...why?

Here's the REALLY important part!

As I mentioned, they are in danger of having their virtual doors closed due to site costs to keep it operational.  Tricia created this particular NING Network and has been advised that a plan must be purchased by August 20th in order for the site to remain open.  The cost?  A whopping $500.  Now, according to her stats, the site has nearly 7,000 members and over 1,000 visits each day....if everyone donated even a small amount, it should easily get the site in the clear for another year of bookish fun.  I know times are tough...definitely understand that point, same for me....but every little bit helps.  I donated $5.  How bout you?  For more information on the site or to make a donation, just click here.

Hi there!

One more post to round out the day to share a great new feature I stumbled across!  It looks like another meme is taking shape and this one could be in for the long haul! Ever find it hard to keep track of all the great new blogs you come across or hear about each week? What about the ones that you never even get a chance to see? That's where this online social comes in.
