Are you an avid reader looking for your next "fix"? Can't bear to be without some form of reading material in your spare time? Welcome to my world! Whether you are seeking a new book to "feed your need", or you are an author seeking an unbiased point of view on your own recent masterpiece, this is the place to be. With life as with books, you never know where the next step might take you...

QUICK NOTE...Update: 10/10/19

Good news: We're back home! Bad news: It's like Apocalypse Heck Part III.

The one year Hurricane Michael anniversary is already here. Where did the time go...and yet it feels like forever. You don't realize how much you take for granted until it's all gone. I'm grateful my family/fur babies survived, and I know they are just "things", but sadly, in this life, those "things" help us get through every day. So yes, "happy" yet not. Every day is still a struggle...not just for my family, but so many others.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing my bookish adventures. It helps remind me I'm not alone in this crazy journey called life.

The Roving Reader

In keeping with the semi-animal theme this weekend, check out this little..."beauty".  Really though, I'm not a snake fan but the colors on this cover in person are BEAUTIFUL.  (I blame the quality here on my cell phone...sorry!)

Had to comment - - this is one of my favorite children's stories. I read it to my own kids all the time. Fantastic story!

Oh how pretty. The font is lovely and it's not till you look close that you realize it's a snake.
