The Very First Bite
Instead of the wonder-pancakes, I decide to eat the rest of the tub of cottage cheese for breakfast. There's a leftover chicken breast, which I can have for lunch with some salad, and maybe some lasagna for dinner - with zucchini strips instead of pasta. This all sounds very healthy and delicious on the surface, but I'm telling you right now, I'd sell my left book on the black market for a blueberry muffin and a bowl of Cocoa Puffs.

Now, to set the scene straight here....she's cycling through diets and has landed on the Atkins "all meat, no/low carb" plan that many have both had success AND failure with. She's trying to stay on the bandwagon but needless to say, the carbs are calling. Will she prevail or will she fall victim to their flour filled cries? We shall see...just passed the halfway point in the book, so final verdict should be coming soon. Stay tuned...
