Why Hate the Billionaire?, Jane Austen, & Alpha Billionaires

Why Hate the Billionaire? might be the first novel written on a dare. Although my main business is hypnotherapy, I've been professionally writing non-fiction and fiction for many years. Until Why Hate the Billionaire?, I wrote short stories, mainly science fiction and fantasy. (No pixies. I hate pixies!).

My roommate is a successful (and brilliant) novelist who gave me a challenge. Why not write a novel?

My laptop lives on my bed and I love reading any good romance novel so I decided that, if I'm doing this in bed, why not have as much fun as possible and write a Red Hot Romance?

Cassidy Delany, MD, is a passionate, intelligent, and driven woman who's realized her goals only to discover she's ignored her own most important needs and desires.

Even Jane Austen loved a good Alpha male – and, let's face it girls, Mr. Darcy IS the original (and best) Dark & Brooding Alpha Billionaire -- few compare. I don't think anyone would ever question that the Darcys have a fabulous sex life – especially when you factor in Elizabeth's wickedly creative mind.

Daniel Sheffield, MD, is Cassidy's match. His life has been only about satisfying himself and getting what he wants.

When they come together, their overwhelming physical chemistry threatens to take over their lives. But all is not what it seems. Cassidy thinks Daniel is a dangerous distraction that will upset the delicate balance of her life. To Daniel, Cassidy seems to be another conquest only it's taking too long to get her out of his system. But, just like in real life, too often the person you're fighting against on the road to happiness is yourself. Why Hate the Billionaire? is the story of a passionate couple that struggle in a world of life and death that is controlled by money and greed to find a love that will sustain and satisfy them – in every way possible.

About the author...

Johanna Bordeaux grew up loving Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Fanny Burney, Collette, Georges Sand — all the classic female writers who knew that a good romantic relationship is all about the unique personalities of the lead characters and the special spark between them. She received her degree in English Literature, specializing in Jane Austen, the early English novels, and Shakespeare, with a minor in biology. In her profession as a mental health counselor, Johanna learned and deepened her understanding of the human heart and what makes a relationship great. Her sexy romance novels are about true love and fulfilling all of her characters needs for a very satisfactory relationship.

Why Hate the Billionaire? is the first of a series of five trilogies, The Delanys. Cassidy and Daniel's story will be continued in Why Trust the Billionaire? (Fall 2015) and conclude in Why Love the Billionaire? (Winter 2015/2016).
