New York Miracle

 Margo Laurie

About the book...
A sweet, Christmas ghost story with a dash of romance

Ellie Peach travels to Manhattan for a fan-making apprenticeship. While staying at a historic boarding house, she meets the charming James Denny. He claims to be a Broadway actor waiting for his lost love. When Ellie offers to help search for her, it leads to old secrets and adventure...

"This was such a fun, light-hearted Christmas read. Loveable characters with a fun storyline." – Books With Sally

“New York Miracle is a beautifully written and engaging novella that will leave readers feeling warm and uplifted. Margo Laurie’s storytelling expertise shines through in this heartwarming tale, reminding us that Christmas miracles can happen, especially when love and hope are involved.” – NetGalley reviewer

"New York Miracle is a surprising story; the mystery of James and his lost love took me on a great adventure… James is the main driving force of the story. He kept saying the craziest things that had me glued to the book." – Readers' Favorite

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I knew from the moment we met James that he was something not exactly of this world... at least not anymore. I felt from our initial introduction to Ellie that she was a kind soul with a bigger part to play than she may realize in something she might not quite understand...at first. By book's end, the heart that was shown, the secrets that were shared, and the connections that were reestablished went such a long way in making this novella something that would linger with readers long after the last epage was turned.
It was great visiting New York through the eyes of a virtual newcomer, and yet the tour doesn't stop there. We also get to see the city in an older time too! As the story unravels, we see the years melt away to reveal the classic place of yesteryear, and then reverse once again to a newer time with conveniences and conventions that allowed the mystery at its heart to be solved more readily... but when all was said and done, the miracle they were looking for was right in front of them all along.
So what's the miracle? The miracle of another chance to settle unfinished business. The miracle of knowing one's destiny didn't change by choice, but by design. The miracle of an ever after that didn't seem to be possible, reached nonetheless. The miracles that the holiday season tend to give a helping hand, turning ghosts of the past into memories of the heart. A great pick for your holiday reading list this season, and a story meant to be shared.
