Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week...one book that just saw publication last week and is TOO FUNNY to be missed. Seriously, bring on your snooty, valley-girl-esque voice and read this HI-larious tease....
I'm going to kill the sun. I swear to God, if it doesn't stop shining, I'm going to hire a hit man and have it whacked. Who makes these sunglasses? Tom Ford? Well, they suck. They need to be like five hundred thousand times darker. I can't believe they even have the nerve to call these sunglasses when they don't do anything to block out the sun. -- pg 67, 52 Reasons to Hate My Father by Jessica Brody (ARC)
Yes, from the same force that brought us My Life Undecided, comes a tale of an heiress a wee bit out of control approaching her "freedom" (i.e. age 18 and her loaded trust fund) at a rapid rate only to have the brakes applied by an unexpected passenger wanting to disembark (or rather dear old Dad perhaps FINALLY getting a clue). Yes, there are laughs to be had as this story unfolds and Lexington may just learn a thing or two along the way...we hope. Quickly approaching the end on this one; review to come...stay tuned...
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
