Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
Today, I'd like to wish everyone a very HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Whether you have a sweetheart, are between sweethearts, or prefer to fly solo, YOU ARE AMAZING, YOU ROCK, and take today and CELEBRATE YOU! Now, I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than by bringing YOU the perfect read for your love filled day.
With that in mind, we teamed up with Rachel's Random Resources (woot woot!) for another fabulous tour. This time it features a Contemporary Romance that will take you from heartbreak to the heights of new love and then some, with a little cloak and dagger type intrigue, jealous lovers, and a whole lot more along the way. So, ready or not (but in the Australian outback, it's best to be prepared!), here comes today's blog tour guest and ebook of choice...
When Adam Met Evie
by
Giulia Skye
About the book...
When former Olympic Swimmer, Michael Adams—now Canada’s hottest reality TV star— insults his fake showbiz wife on social media, he escapes the ensuing scandal and jumps on the first flight to Australia. Desperate to experience ordinary life again—if only for a few weeks—he becomes “Adam”, just another tourist traveling through the Outback. But with a reward out for his safe return and his fame’s nasty habit of catching up with him when he least expects, he needs a better disguise… and he’s just found it.
Sweet and scruffy British backpacker, Evie Blake, is taking a year out of her busy London life. Tired of lies and liars, she’s looking for adventure to heal her broken heart. So when the hot Canadian she meets at the campground offers to be her travel partner through Western Australia’s wild Kimberley region, she grabs the chance, unaware he’s got the world out looking for him.
He’s just a down-on-his-luck traveler, right?

Okay, so with Contemporary Romance novels, there's generally a formula. When I first started reading this one, I knew just after the awkward (but hot!) meet-cute just how things would roll along. We'd have the initial meet, the need for a travel partner, the growing ever closer, the hidden identity creating unnecessary secrets (well, okay, HALF unnecessary), the moment the you-know-what hits the fan, the fallout, and HOPEFULLY the HEA. The thing about it is even with the predictable nature of the general story layout, it's all about what the author does with everything that happens in between. Are there surprises? Do the characters feel real? Can you magically transport yourself to the places and times they are to partake of their adventure? Can you put yourself in one of their roles? Are all the feels there? In this case, the answers are SO yes!
I loved both Evie and Adam (as well as the play on Adam and Eve, both title and story wise!)...as well as many of their friends/family! Evie lived with her whole heart, even after getting it stomped upon a time or two. She just couldn't help it! It wasn't in her to get THAT close to someone and not want the relationship to be more than simply passing. Her desires and dreams, planned destinations and eventual rerouting of her destiny, all felt genuine, tangible, and real. Even Adam with his grand escape, psycho relations (both business and personal), and lack of direction in his current hour of need, all reverberated with depth, strength of connection, and a desire to be more...even if he claimed to just go with the wind. Together, they help rediscover the grandness in life, and rebuild their stricken hearts to uncover a chance to not only start again, but to LOVE again.
So take a chance on this Aussie basted romance this Valentine's Day and prepare to laugh, smile, and simmer (there are a few hot times that involve more than simply the sun, just sayin'!), as you get to know this potential couple in the making...

About the author...
Italian-born Giulia Skye spent her childhood watching classic Hollywood films and thinking up her own romantic stories. After two decades working in TV production, she knew turning those stories into novels would be much more enjoyable - and far cheaper – than turning them into films. She still keeps her hand in TV production but is at her happiest being a stay-at-home mum, spending time with her family, growing her own vegetables and conjuring up sizzling stories about sexy heroes meeting fiesty heroines who aren’t always as they at first appear. When Adam Met Evie is her first novel, Book 1 of her “Take a Holiday” series.
