Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're joining Rachel's Random Resources for TWICE the fun as we host yet another of her fabulous tours (seriously, if you're an author/publisher/blogger and haven't checked her out yet, you're missing out!).  This time around it's a Contemporary Romance that's a match made in heaven!  It definitely "gets" today's dating scene, but with a bit of a twist.  Curious?  Great!  Now, let's get to it.  Today's ebook of choice and blog tour guest is...

Why Polly Met Olly

About the book...
Polly and Olly were never supposed to meet…

Polly might spend her days searching for eligible matches for her elite list of clients at her New York dating agency, but her own love life is starting to go up in smoke.

Even worse, she can’t stop thinking about the very person she’s meant to be setting her latest client up with… surely it can’t get any worse!

But then Polly bumps into oh-so-handsome Olly, who heads up a rival agency, and realizes that perhaps all really is fair in love and dating war…

Perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella and Debbie Viggiano.

This story was rather fun in so many unexpected ways!

Polly was a struggling photographer.  Having graduated from college and chasing her dream, she still hadn't hooked her professional HEA...so what better way to make a living in the mean time then by helping others find theirs?  Enter, Polly the Matchmaker!  Grant it, she was successful in her own personal life, but she definitely seemed to hit her stride when she was pretending to be someone else.  There was a certain about of moral questions brought up regarding her temporary profession, but I mean really...I bet that's how it's done for the higher ups nowadays!  I wouldn't know, never tried an agency, or even online for that matter, but with the real world tie-ins to Tinder, and good old social media, young adult to middle-age-ish folks will feel right at home, while laughing their bums off at some of the antics that follow.  Anywho, back on track...

So as much as Polly was my girl, I gotta say...I liked Olly.  Even when he was being his slick, charismatic, check box checking self, I liked him.  There was something there that felt genuine and non-scripted.  Of course, I may have been reading more into the situations/character than intended (or not, considering the ending!), but I didn't think he was a too good to be true type person...only a person that had been through some changes, perhaps wasn't taken for more than his "pretty face", and needing a chance at something real himself.  When the tentative sparks flew, I was totally on-board...and then when the fizzle began, I was begging Polly to investigate further, not jump to conclusions, and simply give him a chance.  Totally unlike me, but...there you have it.

In the end, it was a sweet, funny, romance in the making, starring a few cupid wannabees, that while making it happen for others, needed to learn a thing or two about love themselves.  It definitely provided an entertaining story with all the feels, so "swipe right" on this one for your future reading list!

About the author...

Zoe May lives in London and writes romantic comedies. Zoe has dreamt of being a novelist since she was a teenager. She spent her twenties living in London, where she worked in journalism and copywriting before writing her debut novel, Perfect Match. Having experienced the London dating scene first hand, Zoe could not resist writing a novel about dating, since it seems to supply endless amounts of weird and wonderful material!

Perfect Match was one of Apple's top-selling books of 2018. It was also shortlisted for the Romantic Novelists' Association's Joan Hessayon Award, with judges describing it as 'a laugh out loud look at love and self-discovery - fresh and very funny'.

As well as writing, Zoe enjoys walking her dog, painting and, of course, reading.
