Today, we're teamed up with Rachel's Random Resources to bring you a little bit of Christmas spirit care of author Kathryn Freeman's latest Contemporary Romance.  It's got star appeal, in more ways than one, and really captures the feelings of the season in some unexpected ways.  Curious?  Great!  Then let's get to it because it'll be the night before Christmas before you know it, and I intend to get this title on your MUST READ list this season!  Ladies and gents, now taking centerstage, today's blog tour guest and ebook of choice...

A Little Christmas Hope
by
Kathryn Freeman

About the book...
Newly promoted head teacher Anna Dalton needs a Christmas miracle – and fast! After years of sitting through excruciatingly dull Christmas productions, complete with crying children and sleeping parents, she’s determined Riddlescomb Primary School will put on a Nativity to remember.

Enter bad boy actor Dan Ramsey, recently axed from the lead role in a TV drama and in desperate need of cleaning up his image or he’ll never work again.

Dan can flash those heart-stopping dimples all he likes, Anna tells herself she isn’t going to fall for them. She knows why he’s decided to volunteer at the school, and it’s for the good of his career…not his soul.

But as Anna and Dan are forced to work together for the sake of a truly magical Christmas for the children, sparks fly and they can’t help but wonder what will happen once the festive season is over…

It's the most wonderful time of the year...for most.  For down and out actor Dan Ramsey, it's a lot less jolly.  He's been axed from his recent claim to fame, he's on the outs with his son, and his agent thinks the best way to squeaky clean up his public persona, is to give back to the masses.  In this case, we're talking about heading back to school, or at least elementary days, to give a few pointers to the next generation of Hollywood stars in the making.  Doesn't sound TOO bad, despite it not being a magic wand waved to fix all his problems...but little does he know that a Christmas "angel" (or two!) will be helping him find his way back to himself this holiday, and perhaps (if given the chance) right into the new year!

Enter one headmistress, Anna Dalton.  She's new to her position, but she wasn't born yesterday, so when Dan shows up at the school (LATE!), she can see him for what he really his...a down and out actor looking to use the school as a means to an end.  She may not like it, but she's accepted it, so long as he keeps his promises to the kiddos he'll be influencing.  Thing is...she may be getting more than she bargained for.  After all, it's not every day we meet our TV star crushes.  It's not every day that they are so much more charming when they are off their game than their public persona.  It's not every day that we have the chance to help someone that seems completely out of our league with a problem they have no idea where to begin with...and perhaps rekindle something within ourselves in the process.  Five years is a long time to be without another soul to share life's ups and downs, triumphs and struggles, and all those intimate moments.  But is she getting herself set up for a big fall or are the blushes and warm feelings more than the spirit of the season?

Okay, now that I've basically rewritten the synopsis in grandiose form, I just have to say that I really loved this!  Despite being a big star (former or slightly fallen), Dan felt human.  Anna was a star in her own right, but even she revealed that relateable side where logic doesn't always prevail and the heart wants what it wants.  Things weren't ideal in either of their lives, but it took finding each other to really see the flaws in their self built walls.  Good thing love has been known to break down any boundary...but then again, one has to be open to the possibility of it and these two definitely have a little timing to work out!

All in all, a wonderful story that will give your heart a smile this holiday season for all the right reasons.  If you need a little Christmas, I suggest you check this one out post haste!

About the author...

A former pharmacist, I’m now a medical writer who also writes romance. Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others it’s the reaction to a hunky hero.

With a husband who asks every Valentine’s Day whether he has to buy a card (yes, he does), any romance is all in my head. Then again, his unstinting support of my career change proves love isn't always about hearts and flowers - and heroes come in many disguises.
