Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week, ebook one of a new Young Adult series from the great folks at Tribute Books that just so happens to be swinging by here in a few days for a blog tour. Ready for a taste? Here goes....
Emily mumbled, "I thought all they needed was a miracle. That's all they ever seem to ask for." Michael's voice grew stronger, echoing in the enclosed space. "For most humans a miracle is simply having someone who'll listen to them. Miracles don't have to be an act of God, Emily. Most of the time miracles are simply a godly act." --pg 50
Emily stiffened. "Those pictures were just meant to scare us. Those weren't real. No one would ever do those things to the people they loved." "Wasn't it you who just said that these people were messed up?" -- pg 51
The Angel Chronicles, Book 1: Until Next Time by Amy Lignor, ebook
Okay, so I had a little bit of trouble selecting a teaser. There are just simply a lot of tease worthy passages! The opening fight scenes, the fainting spells, the tavern scene....needless to say I'm enjoying this romp with the angels. Okay so that sounded funny but I merely meant to say that the story focuses on angels both of light and with a smidgen of dark trying to stop some big events of badness on Earth while human. So far, so good...and it's going fast! Good thing too....I'm DYING to know what happens.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
