HI guys and gals!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

We're celebrating another day of bookish fun with Storybook Sunday! For those not up to speed on the post, I read a lot of great storybooks and thought, why not give them their own day in the sun. Hence, Storybook Sunday! Feel free to join the fun and create a post on your own site with the same name. I'd love to see any linked up in the comments! Anywho...back to the matter at hand.

Today, the post has gone to the Fairy Tales with two WONDERFUL stories which I will review PLUS another WONDERFUL story that I will give YOU a chance to win.  Sound good?  I thought it might.  Ready or not, get your imaginations in gear because here we go!  First, the reviews...

Though listed for adults, I can't think of any target audience more fitting for this rendition of the Old Maestro's dream than ALL AGES.  True, there is a heavier side to the story where Walt Disney's childhood and formative years are glimpsed, as well as the triumphs and struggles he faced along the way, but he turned his life into PURE MAGIC.  He realized a dream that didn't only tickle his fancy, but the WORLD'S both then, now, and for many generations to come.  There's not many folks you'll find that don't recognize his name, let alone the works attributed to his far reaching branding.  From that giddy Oh boy! of a mouse that became a household name to the hummed bars of Jiminy Cricket's When You Wish Upon a Star, there's so much joy to be found in the simple things as well as the magnificent wonders of Disney's legacy...but to realize it all started with to desire to share not only his creative vision, but the joy he felt as a boy laying under the stars watching the colorful bursts in the night sky.

A book to be shared through the generations with beautiful artwork that showcases the simplicity of his world as it was and how he dreamed it could be in all its bright shiny glory.  Side note...there's a CD of the song that shares the book's title included to create a fully immersive experience...

Once upon a time, there was a...cook?  Yes, a cook...it doesn't ALWAYS have to be a PRINCE now, does it?  *ahem*  Anywho, Chef William was his name and cooking was his game, or rather passion, but what to do when you've been run out of the local kitchens and your own pantry is bare?!  Buy ingredients, that's what!  Unless, of course, you find a mysteriously left behind box of food goodies destined for Fairy Tale Headquarters and can whip up something scrumptious from only a pumpkin, beans, and apples.  Wait a second...those foodie delights sound rather familiar...and like they might just possibly sorta kinda need to be in the form they are at present.  Uh oh. *-*

Needless to say, what follows is a cook's dream but a fairy tale manager's nightmare, and while things weren't quite the same when Snow White eats a delicious Baked Apple with Caramel Drizzle (ALL of them), Jack has to deal with the giant bean-less but bowl-full, and Cinderella's coach is a little less than the ultimate in beautified transportation, they all turn out pretty darn wonderful in the end.  A great twist on the classics that'll make you wonder what other stories could stand a little mixing up...

So, whatcha' think?
Pretty good, right?
There are SO MANY fairy tales out there, classic or otherwise, and SO MANY ways to enjoy them.  The greatest part?  Well, outside of the gorgeous illustrations and creativity used, there is no age limit on enjoying them!  So as long as your imagination can take flight, they can be on your reading roster guilt-free, and proudly displayed....I know they are on MY shelves.  ^-^

Speaking of shelves, how would YOU like the chance to add a new one to YOUR shelves today?  Well then, you've come to the right place.  You may remember my Storybook Sunday post a few weeks back spotlighting a WONDERFUL new title, Twinderella:  A Fractioned Fairytale by Corey Rosen Schwartz, and illustrated by Deborah Marcero.  Read the post for my full review, but if you want the quickie version...It's a fancy dance through the tale we know with a new twist and the edutainment factor really ups the appeal as well as the audience introducing kiddos to the higher powers of math in a less than scary way.  Filled with great illustrations and taking the story we know to a new level, it's definitely one you don't want to miss...and guess what?  It hits store shelves 09/05/17!  If you haven't already pre-ordered your copy, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO WIN IT!
