Don't Ever Look Behind Door 32 by B.C.R. Fegan

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Mr Nicholas Noo - Door 32

Today, we're shining the spotlight a NEWLY RELEASED title via TaleBlade Press.  It features the work of an author we've come to love as he brings us tales of grump faces, hidden treasures, and itches you just can't scratch.  They may be aimed at the kiddos (and with the glorious illustrations that adorn each page, you can't really blame them for their interest), but there's fun for all ages between these pages, whether "e" or "tree".  This time around, we're learning just HOW IMPORTANT it is to LISTEN...because one wrong doorknob turn and you never know what might happen (even some unexpected edutainment)!  Ready or not, here comes today's book of choice....

About the book...
The magical Hotel of Hoo is a mysterious place with some very unusual occupants. As our guests explore the strange hotel, they are invited to experience everything it has to offer with just one warning… don’t ever look behind door 32.

This imaginative picture book aims to take children beyond the first ten cardinal numbers, and introduces them to the patterns of counting in a fun and accessible way. With rooms to explore and unique objects to count, children will enjoy lingering on each page as they make their way closer to the forbidden door.

The Brother - Don't Ever Look Behind Door 32 The Sister - Don't Ever Look Behind Door 32

We begin at the beginning with a welcome from Mr. Nicholas Noo, himself (pictured at the top of this post), and quite a gracious host he is.  He's opening the Hotel of Ho to guests for the VERY FIRST time, and Olivia and Jack will be staying in the aptly chosen room number 1...with a much repeated warning to NEVER look behind door 32.  Strange and odd that's true, but the current resident list of Hoo doesn't give them long to question what they're being told to do.  I mean, how do you ignore the room of grumpy clowns, dancing zombies, grey-haired villains, or the LIBRARY THAT LOOKS UTTERLY AMAZING!?!  Exactly...I know I couldn't...but then again, what's with room 32?

It's a mystery that receives an answer, but not until the rest of this numerically enhanced tale is explored.  With page after page of wonderful illustrations to delight the eye and capture your heart, if not for the constant reminder, one might forget that your ultimate goal is room 32.  The author did a great job combining a fun story with seek and find fun, while  incorporating the edutainment factors along the way.  The kiddos will never know what hit them.  ^-^
