Are you an avid reader looking for your next "fix"? Can't bear to be without some form of reading material in your spare time? Welcome to my world! Whether you are seeking a new book to "feed your need", or you are an author seeking an unbiased point of view on your own recent masterpiece, this is the place to be. With life as with books, you never know where the next step might take you...

QUICK NOTE...Update: 1/2/19

The blog is slowly coming back on line. We were right in the path of Hurricane Michael (like so many others), and while the family is safe (pups, and parents), the house didn't fair as well. So, reading and blogging (as much as I adore it) have to take a back burner. I've finally reached a stage in all this chaos that I feel that I can try to take a few baby steps back into the blogging world. A post here, a post there, and who knows. Hope you stay along for the ride!

The Good Luck Sister by Jill Shalvis - REVIEW + GIVEAWAY!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're joining HarperCollins as we celebrate the release of author Jill Shalvis' latest addition to the Wildstone series.  It's a novella...aka short story...that gives us a chance to catch up with the characters we grew to know and love in Lost and Found Sisters (which, by the way, if you missed...don't...go and correct that error in judgment right now because seriously, SO GOOD!)...and though I'm not a huge ss fan, I devoured this one in no time flat.  (Did I mention the first was SO GOOD?)  So, if you're quite ready, allow me to introduce today's ebook of choice...

A Wildstone Novella
Jill Shalvis
William Morrow Impulse

About the book...
This summer, romance blooms again in Wildstone! Take a sneak peek at Jill Shalvis's next Wildstone novel, Rainy Day Friends, in this charming new novella.
After a difficult few years, Tilly Adams is ready for life to start going right. Though she has a case of first-day nerves teaching art at the local community college, she knows it isn’t anything a few snuggles from her rescue puppy won’t cure. Until she sees Dylan Scott again, her one-time BFF and first love sitting in the front row.
Dylan knows he should’ve left well enough alone, but when he sees Tilly living her dream, he can’t help but make contact. Ten years ago, he left Wildstone and everything in it behind, including Tilly. He had his reasons, but now he wants her back in his life, anyway he can get her.
When Tilly agrees to design the logo for Dylan’s new helicopter touring company, it’s business only . . . until she finds herself falling into his arms once again. Can she possibly open her heart back up to the only man who’s ever broken it? But soon they’re both realizing the truth—love always deserves a second chance.

This was one that I was like..."Begun and DONE"!
Love love LOVED it! It was SO good to be back in Wildstone again, even if only for a few moments, and catching up with Tilly, Quinn, Mick, and well as our fur baby Leo (he is so cute and such a good judge of character!)...was good for my heart. Seriously, you can't help but smile as you read this one, even through the hard memories and difficult time.  The addition of what I like to call Tilly-isms was a pleasant surprise as well (wasn't sure we'd be treated to them with the shortness of the tale!).

In the end, the story reminds us that time may pass, circumstances may change, but where it counts...we remain the same...and it's never too late for love!  My best suggestion to any potential readers out there is to start with the first Wildstone'll make this short story even sweeter!  Oh and yeah, watch our for Leo because while Dylan is certainly attention grabbing, this little fur baby will steal your heart!

I love Jill's stories - started with the Animal Magnetism series, and really loved the Lucky Harbor series.
