Why hello there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers….the place to be when you’re looking for something to quench that insatiable thirst for more….books that is.
Today we play host to a book making its way through the blogosphere courtesy of Partners in Crime Tours. In case you have yet to hear of this outfit, they specialize in the set up and promotion of tours that feature fiendishly criminal minds and the folks dedicated to solving them. It’s a fun group that I’d certainly recommend to any crime fiction fans out there….but I digress, let’s get back to today’s feature before you get lost in the grimy world of crime.
The indiscretion at the heart of today’s story doesn’t start out with blood shed but by book’s end, you better believe we’re swimming in it. There’s twists and turns, underhanded dealings and stalking; a crime has occurred in someone’s eyes and they intend upon setting things right. Today’s blog tour guest and book of choice is….

Alan Williams
From the Partners in Crime team….
A killer is stalking London; a banker is already dead, killed in an explosion, and there are more victims in the killer’s sights.
Techno geek and Internet journalist, Wil Jackson becomes inadvertently embroiled in the investigation when he interviews one of the murder victims, and the killer starts communicating with Wil via the Internet.
Can Wil help the police stop the killer before the body count increases further?
I had an interesting time with this one….and by interesting I mean there were both good and not-so-good points for me. Let’s start with the good and work our way through, shall we? The book is a novella awarding it its short length but it is certainly long enough to carry out the crimes of passion (or perhaps vindication) that the killer behind it all is checking off their list….oh yes, and there is a list. Though the deaths do not play out in the first assigned order due to unexpected interference, those being picked off are connected and should serve as a warning to those yet to come. Unfortunately, that common thread has alluded most of the investigators leaving them as sitting ducks….enter one Wil Jackson.
A master of his domain (pun totally intended), he prefers to attack situations and personal investigations from the online side…then out. He’s more of a computer geek to put it lightly and while hacking into a database may not be his aim of the day, he could if he needed to no doubt. His current story is what pulls him into this unexpected game of cat and mouse, putting more than his virtual life at risk when the killer begins to take aim at everyone helping the cops put an end to his reign of terror before he feels it comes full circle. It’s a dangerous game and with each new roll of the dice, or in this case antagonistic reply on his blog post, he comes closer to a confrontation that could only end badly. The final scenes will surprise you as will the big reveal….for better or worse. I have to say that although an unusual choice for a potential hero, Wil was an interesting character and one I’d rather have on my side than against. Now on to that not-so-happy part….I’ll keep it short and sweet.

In the end, a story fit for a quick weekend crime spree…err, escape…that will keep you on your toes as you try to solve the crime right alongside those trying to escape its reach. Recommended for adult readers due to the number and variety of deaths, as well as a scene of sensuality. This novella is available now online via Amazon.
